William Nylander is lost for the troubled Modo after being called back to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL. Modo coach Per-Erik “Perra” Johnson does not want to give details about how great talent that this season was responsible for 20 points in 21 games in Modo, to be replaced.

– It was a little sudden , but it was in the back of my mind that it could happen, and now it happened. It is clear that we lose a man who stood for goals and points for the club, we have to work to replace it says Modo’s coach Per-Erik “Perra” Johnson to P4 Västernorrland.

“A question for Black bet”

– There’s no coach who does not want people up and creating competition, and take a guy who lifts the team. But it is more a question of Per Svartvadet (general manager of Modo) than for me.

New bang for Modo – the star leaves – Aftonbladet

Modo is last in the SHL with eight points to safe ground.

Now comes the next big bang for crisis club.

The Toronto Maple Leafs call back JVM-star William Nylander, 18, with immediate effect.

It has been a tough season for Modo, a week ago got the coach Anders Forsberg fired and Per-Erik Johnsson was the replacement. It has not yet helped, but the team continued its backward movement and the entire eight points from the safe ground up to tenth placed Brynäs. But it does not end there, the team’s big star William Nylander now leaving Modo with immediate effect when the Toronto Maple Leafs, who Nylander has contracts with, decided to withdraw the striker.

– It is unfortunately beyond our control when the rules of the transitions are written in this way, says Modo’s sporting director Per Svartvadet to the club’s website.

Made 20 points

Nylander, who has been one of the team’s most important players and made 20 points (8 + 12) in 21 games this season leaves the club right now. Nylander has a current contract with the Toronto who now choose to recall striker before the deadline for transitions in terms of loan players.

– Of course we have done what we could to keep him in the organization when there is a skilled player. We wish William luck in their future career, says Black bet.

Nylander was the key player in the JVM, which ended the more than week ago, where the striker did ten points (3 + 7).

“Looking for full”

Charlotte Gustavsson, CEO, regrets the loss of talent.

– Of course it is very hard for us. We wanted to keep him and have tried everything we can. But Toronto has decided to withdraw him and then there is no longer anything we can do. Very sad for us.

Are you going to replace him?

– Yes, Per (Black Bet, Sports Director) looking for full after players who can fit into the team.

Last in the table and now lose you your best player – what speaks to Modo to avoid relegation?

– You have to see the possibilities. We have more players who can step forward and we will do everything to keep us in the SHL. Whether it is via qualifiers or not.

Have you begun to prepare for the qualifiers?

– As long as we are below the line we risk course to qualify and must be prepared on it.

Rickard Rakell crowned Selännes great evening – Aftonbladet

Talk about choosing the right opportunity to shine.

Rickard Rakell, 21, scored four points (2 + 2) and topped off the evening with a stylish punishment – for himself Teemu night – when Anaheim won 5-4 on penalties.

– I have had quite a lot of bad luck, so it feels great, says Rakell.

Yes, it was really Teemu Selännes big night in the Honda Center when the jersey number 8 was retired in Anaheim.

But while the “Finnish Flash” and other NHL legends like Jari Kurri and Saku Koivu was in place in the arena took another högerfattad genombrottsman to show off.

Rickard Rakell, who made 12 points in his career before tonight’s meeting with the Winnipeg Jets, increased that number by two goals and two assists.

The 21-year-old Stockholm Comforter chirped among other things, to 4-4 with 2:03 left in the third period after having dragged the puck between the legs and then coaxed it past Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec.

“is just a game”

And in the fourth round of penalty Anaheim was forced to put his penalty for not lose. Who sent coach Bruce Boudreau forward unless Rickard Rakell?

In his only other penalties in the NHL ever, he showed evidence of grim self-confidence with a fast and long attraction to the backhand and pushed the puck so late into the clone happened in my post.

– It feels good, but it’s only a game, says Rakell who had a goal in his first 53 games in the NHL.

– I have shot so much in the target frame, entitled unlucky, so it feels great, says Rakell to nhl.com.

Finnish decisive

The crucial punishments were, however, appropriately enough, Finnish hill Sami Vatanen wrap.

– It was unbelievable. I can tell my grandchildren in the future that I made the decisive goal on Teemus evening, said Vatanen.

Jakob Silfverberg had to put Anaheim’s second penalty, but missed the target.

The Swedes missed the podium – Larsson best – Aftonbladet

Markus Larsson struck with a seventh place after pjäxändringen.

Now the 36-year-old fight for World Cup places in earnest.

– It is impossible not to think about the World Cup, he said.

Fog, snow and rain. Weather conditions in Adelboden was not the best in the first slalom leg and several riders had obvious problems with the substrate.

So even the Swedes.

Mattias Hargin, who was the best Swedish in Zagreb with a fourth place , low-sixth of seconds behind the leader Fritz Dopfer. Jens Byggmark was one hundredth after Hargin in seventh. The Swedes, however, had only three tenths up to the podium.

But Byggmark ran out in the second and Hargin did not get any kanonåk and finished in 14th place. Instead, it became Markus Larsson best Swedish after a kanonåk in others. 36-year-old had the second best results and moving up from 17th place to seventh, his best result this season.

– second run was really good, but I’m not so happy with first one. I’m a little surprised that I had the second best time, but it was fun anyway. This gives me some hope for future competitions, says Larsson, who changed the setting on their boots after the first went.

– I put them out. It gets a little aggressive. It will be more on edge and can drive, he said.

“A big step forward”

After sjundeplatden Larsson is one step closer to a World Cup place. But the competition in the Swedish team is fierce with three races left until the championship in Vail / Beaver Creek.

– It is impossible not to think about the World Cup, but I think most of the next contest. If I do not go well, I still have nothing to do there. It is clear toughest team to reach the World Cup in and to get there you have something there to do, he said.

André Myhrer also accounted for the season’s best result and finished eighth. He feels that the form is on the rise.

– It was a big step forward. Now I get a little confidence so I think it may come off sharply in January, says Myhrer who do not want to think about the World Cup place is in danger.

– There will be will be. It’s not something I think about.

Anton Lahdenperä was 16th. Axel Brooks ran out in the second and Calle Lindh time was not enough for a second year.

The Italian Stefano Gross surprisingly won the Fritz Dopfer and Marcel Hirscher. It differed only two hundredths of a second between the winner and the runner-up and one-hundredth between second and third.

Jens Byggmark:

The best result this season: 3rd in Madonna di Campiglio.

Note: was taken out of the World Cup squad earlier this week. The only one of the Swedish gentlemen.

Mattias Hargin:

The best result this season: 4th in Åre and Zagreb.

Note: Took the season’s second fourth place in Zagreb and it is much to be if Hargin not take a World Cup spot.

Axel Brooks:

The best result this season: 5: ai Åre.

Note: 5-6-6. Drove out in Adelboden, but it is still good to battle for World Cup places.

Calle Lindh:

The best result this season: 6th in Åre.

Note: Have had a downward shape curve with urkörningar and in Adelboden was not enough time for a second year. But sixth place from Åre is sufficient in the current situation to the World Cup.

André Myhrer:

The best result this season: 8th in Adelboden.

Comment: is outside the World Championships team in the current situation and are still struggling to find the right new skis. Took However, the season’s best finish in Adelboden.

Markus Larsson:

The best result this season: 7th in Adelboden.

Note: form has been going up and Adelboden showed Larsson that he wanted to fight for World Cup places in earnest.

Anton Lahdenperä:

The best result this season: 11th in Levi.

Note: Did a great andraåk in Zagreb. But have some way to go to the World Cup.

Halfvarsson got seconds against itself – Daily

that would not happen in Saturday’s 15 km classic happened.

Calle Halfvarsson losing ground to Petter Northug and Martin Johnsrud Sundby for Sunday’s concluding rock climbing in the Tour de Ski.

– This destroys the little, said Halfvarsson after the messy mass start race.

Overall Runner-up Calle Halfvarsson had set out to not lose seconds to their Norwegian competitors in the Tour de Skis penultimate act.

But so it was. Halfvarsson finished in 27th place, 30 seconds behind the victorious German Tim Tscharnke. More important was that after deduction of bonus seconds have 26.8 seconds to Petter Northug, it was seven in the morning, and 23.7 to Martin Johnsrud Sundby instead of being five before him.

– I had hoped for a better race. I had a really good feeling in your body today, he said.

Halfvarsson drove to a minimum bonus seconds in the trio, 20, while Northug captured the 27 and Sundby 23rd

The Swede was heading towards 15 bonus seconds as number one in the second and final intermediate sprint, but Northug sprinted past him on the last few meters.

Poor slide

The pressures sucking power from both riders, as dropped at the end.

But there were other things that cost too.

– It cost too much inside the stadium every lap. It was on the easy parts I found it hard to keep up.

– You can not really blame the skis, but I can not say I’ve had the best glide today.

Several incidents occurred in the race. Among other things fell Johnsrud Sundby early, as well as later three-time Tour champion Dario Cologna and Russian Yevgeny Belov. All, however, was quickly back in the field. The Joker Belov is just eight seconds behind Halfvarsson facing mountain trial since he has taken it to the finish in 17th racers.

– I’m disappointed. This destroys the little, but now you can go home and be pissed, so you get bite the bullet and come back tomorrow, said Halfvarsson.

Chasing second place

Halfvarsson quickly saw the end of hunting Scenario front of him.

– It feels like it’s Petter we get to hunt for second place. I think Sundby will go from Petter quite early in the hill.

– Me and Belov’ll probably go to our pace before the hill, we can not run up with them up front. It may be when we will hopefully see them in the hill that the hunt can begin.

The Swedish tactics in the mass start was to keep the momentum and the high road to avoid incidents and violent surges at sprint prices.

– But you have to have the day too, said head coach Richard Griffin, who, however, praised Daniel Richardson’s sacrificial wear to help Halfvarsson when it received at the end and Hellner who took the lead in the middle of the race.

First Swedish Case was the tour debutant Simon Andersson at 20th place.

It is hard to be eternal runner “- Aftonbladet

Martin Johnrud Sundby crushed the competition.

Petter Northug became the fourth second place in the Tour de Ski.

– It’s hard to be the eternal runner-up, he says.

No one could threaten Martin Johnsrud Sundby. The Norwegian shrugged off Petter Northug early in the climb up the ski slopes of the Alpe Cermis and took second straight victory in the Tour de Ski.

– It felt miserable at first, but then I managed to recover. I knew I could be a stronger Northug a good day. He did a good race, but I’m very happy that I was stronger, says Norwegian.

“Be sure they would come”

Petter Northug managed to keep clear of Calle Halfvarsson and Jevjenij Belov and finished second for the fourth time in the Tour see Ski.

– It’s crap to be the eternal runner-up in the Tour de Ski. But I’m happy, I did a good climbing day. You just have to take his hat off for Martin today, says Northug to SVT and continues:

– He’s strong on the slopes and for me it is actually a pretty good day on the slopes. I had to find my own rhythm. Would I go into the wall or find my rhythm. I went to ‘Safa’ and succeeded with it.

Northug was surprised not to Halfvarsson and Belov came up.

– I noticed that they went fast and was pretty sure that they would catch up. But I managed to stay away from. Coveralls the best Tour de Ski I have implemented.

Val di Fiemme / STOCKHOLM. Charlotte Kalla was distressed after his fumble on skiathlonen in the Scandinavian Cup.

She finished fourth – 41 seconds behind the winner Astrid Jacobsen.

– It will not suffice any medal if she goes so where, says coach Richard Griffin to SportExpressen.se

After his triumph at the 10 km freestyle at the Scandinavian Cup has been deteriorating for Charlotte Kalla.

On Saturday, she came fourth in the sprint and on Sunday’s country pursuit went even worse.

She lay with the lead after the classic part, but dropped entirely on the final freestyle portion. In the end, she went in as a four – 41 seconds behind the winner Astrid Jacobsen.

– Should I be 40 seconds after the Scandinavian Cup, I have nothing in the World Cup to do, so call to SportExpressen.se after the race.

“Not even on the podium”

National Team head coach Richard Griffin am amazed at the poor result.

– It was not the one had expected, but there may be external factors such as skis. Does she have a hard time finding into it and it’s so she does not have skis that works so it may be the bottom line, says Grip.

She says she does not have the World Cup to do if she goes like this.

– It will not suffice any medal if she go like that. She is not even on the podium in the Scandinavian Cup so it’s no secret. But a lot can happen until then.

Is it worrying?

– No, it’s not, but it comes that she is going through what it is and makes a good analysis on site. So they can create a good strategy if there are materials cod that has caused it.

Wegerup: PSG lacks both heart and soul – Aftonbladet

A moment of silence for a real tragedy.

followed by 90 minutes by a PSG in crisis.

The team that wants to dream the biggest fell against Little Bastia and right now there is none of the big club over PSG.

“Je suis Charlie”.

In a unified manifestation kept journalists at the press box up their signs, while the players in Bastia and PSG gathered on the field in a silent tribute to the victims.

A manifestation against violence, for free word;

“I’m Charlie.”

The only question is who and what PSG is right now.

Paris club with the big project and the even bigger ambitions lost 4-2 against Bastia and again piling up question marks and exclamation marks over the team.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic says periodically when I talked to him about PSG’s bet and lofty goal of “club projects will continue.”

After the match against Bastia, and especially after the whole autumn season, one must say, however, that at the moment continues projketet with significantly wobbly step, if not swaying.

does not occur as a team

During the winter camp in Morocco won the PSG against Inter 1-0, however, in a meeting that really gave reasons for word “friendly match”. Then defeated Montpellier 3-0 in French Cup.

But the loss against Bastia showed again a PSG who do not behave as a team. Neither the gameplay or the glow and sacrifice.

It is true that it is not only to fly to Corsica and scoring points like olives and grapes. I was on site to Bastia PSG in September 2012 and remembers the small pitch, the tight stadium and the extremely virulent home supporters. PSG won narrowly and Zlatan was furious afterwards, the stone-throwing Bastia fans.

One should also remember that the PSG now lacked both Cavani and Lavezzi. Both the South American stars were notoriously turned off after having neglected to come to Morocco camp, conduct which in itself gives a very clear and gloomy, the image of the lack of both discipline and team spirit in the PSG.

But none of its circumstances explaining and excusing still a stud like that against Bastia. PSG aspires to be one of the world’s top clubs. Then you can not drop a two goal lead and losing 4-2 against a small team in the French league, how big heart Islanders than shown.

Lacks heart and soul

The lack of heart and soul is in addition, as I have often written, one of the Paris club’s major problems. They have the money and you have the big players. But you do not have cohesion, the joy and the willingness to sacrifice everything for each other on the pitch.

That, combined with Laurent Blanc does not fully measure up, and that the club lacks experience at the top level, makes all the money in the world is not enough.

Marseille and Lyon continues to be ahead of PSG in the league. And as for Chelsea and the Champions League, it feels right now as a very high mountain to climb.

Things can turn around quickly – and they must do it on PSG to have a chance in the fourth round and get full speed up the table in the league again.

Otherwise, this will be a besvikelsernas season and with the budget PSG’s failure is not an option for the owners.

In Paris now talking PSG report are increasingly about which reinforcements are needed and the first whispers that one should sell Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while you can still make money on him, has begun to be heard.

Zlatan should move

No one disputes that it is Ibra who usually wins matches for the team or that he is the biggest star. But you start to look forward to the time after him.

And I maintain what I wrote before the New Year: Zlatan should move after this season. Anything can happen in football.

But it will take time before the PSG is a big club at the highest level. The time has not Ibrahimovic, at just over 33 years of age.

Three seasons is enough, how much money there than there are in Paris. Ibra needs a fresh start.

I am quite sure that Zlatan still have much to give. But I’m no longer sure he can find an outlet for it in the PSG.

And the Farjestad continued the trend. Leksand had a nightmare start when Toni Rajala was 1-0 to the home side after tangling in front of Leksand goals.

Shortly thereafter could bitch Anton Hedman put the runner-up.

The nightmare just became worse when Per Åslund did 3-0 before the first period, against a Leksand looked tired out from the start.

– We are completely out of our team. We have played with players who are sick, have not exercised in a week, said Andreas Appelgren.

The second period was uneventful, but in the third continued Leksand nightmare.

Milan Gulaš made 4-0 after just three minutes. Gulas sent the puck on goal, and through Daniel Josefsson skating was looking on in behind Oscar Alsenfelt.

In addition there were Leksand Viktor Mårtensson match penalty after coming directly from the booth and started a fight with the home side’s Ole-Kristian Tollefsen.

Per Åslund could set the final score to 5-0 with three minutes left to play.

– It becomes quite obvious that we need more players. We must toil terribly on the ones we have. Then injuries and illnesses also said Andreas Appelgren.

Now he will shake the money for new acquisitions from Leksand’s CEO, Kjell Kruse.

– We had a brief meeting last night and will continue tonight. We probably solve it.

Fueled by Northug and disturbed by the “small norwegian” – Aftonbladet

Val di Fiemme / STOCKHOLM. Calle Halfvars’s race developed into a nightmare.

He was blown off Northug, tackled by a Russian and features of the slats of a “small Norwegian”.

– The was not so fair means stuff, says the Swede.

Calle Halfvarsson was second in the Tour de Ski for today’s 15 km classic style. But in the mass start got the Swede problems in several different directions. It started at the second intermediate sprint when Halfvarsson would advance in the field. Then put the Russians Turysjev arm up in front of Swede and tucked him up.

– He walks into my skis. Very unnecessary. He checks not even back when have step out, but he goes right into me. He makes a really ugly thing.

But it was not only Russians who destroyed for Halfvarsson.

– Since annoy myself pretty much on a Norwegian guy. I do not really know who he is, but he goes and pulls my rods. A small Norwegian guy (Simen Andreas Sveen).

Do you think he did it to help his team?

– No, I think it just … I screamed at him, what he was doing. It was not so fair means stuff.

“I see nothing”

Halfvarsson managed to get up the field after the Russian’s prank and looked to sprint home 15 seconds. Then came Petter Northug from nowhere.

– I thought I was done for the intermediate sprint. I checked the back of Petter when we go over the crest. It looks like he ignores it. But then he sees that I put off with the speed and also get up hope. Then he suddenly and swischar about me. I understand nothing. I thought it was clear, says Halfvarsson and continues:

– I immediately thought “typical me to take this win for granted.”

After spurt price dropped Halfvarsson, who had good skis , power and finished as 27th man, 30 seconds behind the winner Tim Tscharnke.

– It costs too much at the stadium every lap. One should not really cover up on the skis, but I would not say I had the best glide today. Good traction in all cases, says Halfvarsson and continues:

– I’m disappointed. This destroys a bit. Now you have to go home and be pissed off then get bite the bullet and come back tomorrow.

“Sheep thank them”

Northug went in cases 21st and still leads the Tour de Ski, three seconds before Johnsrud Sundby, who finished eighth, and 27 before Halfvarsson. The Swede has not given up before tomorrow’s climb up the ski slopes.

– I can not rush up with them. They will go fast. Me and Belov get to go to our pace and try not to think too much about them up front. It may be of the hill when we see them. Then the hunt begin. It is perhaps Petter we get to hunt for second place.

Are you going to talk to Belov?

– Yes. We get to try. I do not know what to say to each other, I can not Russian, so we’ll run sign language. I will still not rush out to keep away from him without trying to take a quieter start than I had in previous years so I’m alert when I go into the hill.

But in Adelboden is the Swede seventh after the first run.

André Myhrer and Calle Lindh miss though the second run.

As will Swedish crack Northug – Aftonbladet

The Swedes are planning a new tactic moves.

By braking and accelerating at the right moment to be teammates help forward Calle Halfvarsson in the Tour de skis penultimate stage.

– Calle get seconds, says Daniel Richardson.

Calle Halfvarsson is in second place ahead of the penultimate stage of the Tour de Ski.

Just as earlier in the tour gets the winner of fifteen-kilometer race fifteen second deduction from his total time, but what makes today’s event special is that the rewards awaiting the gentlemen at two places along the path. Sprinting Prices are placed after six and eleven kilometers, and both are behind a dress ttring.

Benefit to Norway

Calle Halfvarsson attaches great importance to the bonus seconds.

– The big goal is not to lose the Petter, Sundby or Belov, he says and adds:

– We’re talking a bit tactics but there is nothing I shall go out with the media. We keep it to ourselves.

You will flag words for a Swedish team tactics to help you?

– I will not reveal anything, but it would possibly be so …

Daniel Richardson fight to become fifth in the Tour. Still, he thinks assist Calle as much as possible.

The 32-year-old sees three methods that he and Marcus Hellner can support his fellow countryman with:

1. If Halfvarsson are tired, they can go up in the dense and slow down the field.

2. If any other top skaters leads they can sprint if only to snatch the highest deductions .

3. If Halfvarsson is alongside one of the Swedes with a few meters left to spurt price so they can let go before him.

– Will we are close to each other, he may come first. Even if I run the iron I certainly believe that he was sprinting down me, but it is clear that Calle get seconds, says Daniel Richardson.

How does it affect the Calle is only Swede in the top while the Norwegians have both Sundby and Northug?

– Both Petter and Sundby want seconds, so I think we have an advantage there.

“Have another mode”

Head coach Richard Griffin hymlar not that we should expect a team effort today.

Sure, all riders follow its own plan, but he also intends to direct them to benefit Halfvarsson.

– It’s really hard to say exactly how, because it is about how the race developed, but the most important part in the tactical work consists in which directives we give our riders during the event, says Grip.

Is there an advantage to Calle is the only Swede in dense while Norway has two?

– Yes. Petter and Martin wants to take as many seconds as possible, so it is clear that Calle has a mode other than them.

Gas!

Martin Johnsrud Sundby is a strong climber while Petter Northug good sprinting. About Calle losing ground can Hellner or Richardson invest heavily in to be the first to spurt prices, so that the Norwegians have to settle for lower deduction. “Maybe I can pick one second from Calle’s worst competitors,” says Richardson.

Brake!

About Calle losing ground, both Richardson and Hellner go up in the lead. From there you can control the tempo. “If he gets tired you can go up and slow down the field,” says Richardson.

Dropping forward!

Is the Swedes close to each other before the spurt prices then Hellner and Richardson drop Halfvarsson before him. “It is very likely that Calle takes such a spurt, but had he done yet,” said Richard Griffin with a smile.

How the bonus seconds on Stage 6:

The winner of the race gets 15-second deduction on their time. The runner-up receives ten seconds, and third grade five.

At two places on the course, after six and eleven kilometers, divided more seconds out to the first ten riders. They are distributed according to a sliding scale: 15 seconds to one, 12 to second, then 10, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and the first

BUT Färjestad replicated immediately, with some help from the HV goalie Gustaf Wesslau. While Kara Lahti was sitting in the penalty box put Färjestads Joakim Nygård speed along the boards and threw the puck on goal at the height of the extended goal line. Nygårds fluttering puck off the back of Wesslau, who whipped the puck into his own goal.
