Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Sweden to rescue European Championship qualifiers – Aftonbladet

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has landed in Sweden.

According to Expressen, a 32-year-old had a few days off of PSG to rehabilitate his injured abdomen in Sweden.

The hope is game in the European Championship qualifier on 8 September.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic injured in the oblique abdominal muscles during Saturday’s league match against Bastia. It is not yet clear how long the 32-year-old is gone and the European Championship qualifier premiere gone against Austria on September 8 is threatened.



“Did not think he landed”

On Wednesday Zlatan himself landed at Arlanda airport outside Stockholm, writes Expressen. According to the newspaper as a 32-year-old had a few days off of his club to continue his rehabilitation in Sweden.

When Sportbladet talks with national team press officer Niklas Bodell on Wednesday evening as he referred all questions about the damage to the French club .

– I did not know he landed in Sweden just tonight but it is clear that our doctor for a dialogue with PSG and Zlatan how his healing process of the injury looks. What we want is to obtain as good an idea as possible about the injury. But he belongs to PSG and it is ultimately they who are responsible for his rehabilitation goes as well as possible, said Bodell.



“Maybe you can be with this weekend”

Sport Bladet met coach Erik Hamrén at Salzburg airport on Wednesday morning, he was still hopeful of having his captain ready for play the qualifiers.

– Maybe he can be with this weekend (Evian away on Friday) but otherwise he’s match next Wednesday also , I think, said Hamrén.

– My hope and belief is that it is faster than you speculated in the media.
