Leksand rose – but still fell heavily – Aftonbladet

Leksand’s decline continues.

The team was about to rise against Modo – but collapsed again.

– We are accountable leaders who must get it to turn, says assistant coach in LIF, Mats Bäcklin after sixth straight loss.

In the trunk was a stinging 0-8 loss to Luleå at home .

And before meeting with Modo poked Chris Connolly and Robin Jacobsson.

– They are not good enough in the current situation. Competition is fierce despite tabelläget says Bäcklin.

But change did not help much.

Modo The forward Simon Önerud was 1-0 after four minutes into the second period, the same players in the lead after a mushy situation that required the Video Preview.

Turned 0-2 to 3-2

In the state saw Leksand completely beaten out – but shame on those who give.

After more than seven long periods of Måltorka poked finally Tomi Sallinen the puck in game five against four. A few minutes later kept Eric Himelfarb front and smacked there equalizer in game five against three. Leksand completed the turnaround with just under one minute left of my period. Again it was a Finn. Veli-Matti Saviainen, noted for a life-goals.

In addition, the much criticized captain Johan Ryno accounted for two assists when Leksand rose.

– We have had a lot of meetings last week. It has happened a lot of things. When lying on the zero point, turn and turn on everything, says Mats Bäcklin.

unwise second

Modo came back strong in the final period.

Oscar Hedman dot shot 3-3 and then took Brian Connelly in LIF unnecessary deportation after being mowed down Simon Önerud front of goal.

The home side punished Leksand hard on the subsequent power play when Victor Olofsson put 4-3 from the blue.

– It’s really nice. We show great character. We had decided to come out really hard, they will not come up here and pick up three points, says Olofsson C More.

“no comfort”

Per-Åge Skröder upheld then the result to 5-3 in the open cage.

Leksand still chasing their first points in the SHL and is firmly anchored in the ground. But coach Andreas Appelgren still sees some bright spots.

– Second period, we get a little help from some expulsions. It felt good for the final. We make as many goals in the matches we have done before, but that’s no consolation right now. We get to work on the good parts are, for long periods, it is a good match. It’s close, but again, it does not help, says Appelgren.

Facts

match

Unbelievable dramatically after two relatively dry periods. A match marked by feelings of very Gurgel after

whistle area. Modo got dream start but then chose the most difficult path to goal, dropped the puck and let in Leksand. Once in front of his own goal Modo did a sterling job of taking away the opponents. After the second half, everything changed. Modo continued careless but also began to incur penalties, Leksand got off the ground and the power to turn 2-0 to 2-3. Modo managed to play themselves, minimize carelessness and stay away from the booth. Then also came the next turn. Acknowledgment by Oscar Hedman remotely and then putting the power play-king Victor Olofsson – also from elsewhere.
