It was a hard day for Gais in Blekinge.
The first conceded goal after the break meant the loss against tabelljumbon Mjallby.
Now closer to qualifying mark for the green-black.
It’s been a game where the bang area was arriving at the super engage first lower half. The view defeated Degerfors on off plan while AFC United surprisingly beat Ljungskile 3-0.
Results that made Gais were in need of a win against Mjällby to take a step up from the drama around qualifying mark.
Gais got a tough game from the start. Last Mjallby worked hard and Gais had a hard time getting through. When Joel Johansson well made it so was Mattias Asper away.
First let in after the break
In the second half they had Gais a very good option when Kieron Cadogan drew a surprising free kick to first cross – but Asper was there again.
Instead, it was Mjallby who received dividends. In the 59th minute then spliced Jesper Gustavsson initial goal after a corner from David Löfquist. The first goal Gais and Tommi Vaiho conceded since the restart in Superettan.
In the underdogs 0-1 swapped Gais in Björn Andersson to get a boost towards the end. But even though it tried to lift the balls on Andersson then had difficulty getting into something really pressure.
Cadogan had the best acknowledgment chance
Most dangerous was it when Kieron Cadogan had an opportunity to half-volley inside the penalty area – where the ball went just wide of the target.
Otherwise, there was not much in chansväg and Mjällby win felt fairly unthreatened.
