Had given up the World Cup – now think Tornéus on the comeback – Aftonbladet

Michel Tornéus had more or less given up on the World Cup after the Diamond League Gala.

Now, however, the cross reversed and long jumper hope to make a comeback this weekend.

“Can pleased to say that groin feels much better,” writes Tornéus on Twitter.

Michel Tornéus was back in competition again at the Diamond League gala in Stockholm on Thursday.

It ended, however, with the 29-year-old had to cancel the race after three jumps because of a groin injury and he said that World Cup chances more or less gone.

– It looks as though I stay at home. Incredibly heavy and frustrating. When the back feels better then anything else, he said after the race.



Can set up in the SM

But now a joy vengeance. On Twitter announces long jumper that the new injury was not as bad as first feared and he is aiming to be back this weekend.

“Can happily say that groin feels much better & amp; Now, we focus on the SM in Söderhamn, “writes Tornéus on Twitter.

The day after the Diamond League gala felt long jumper better and agent Stina Funcke ruled then not a World Cup start.

– Yes, it was considerably more optimistic. It was probably a bit like when it happened as he reacted a little fast, ‘she said then.

SM decided in Soderhamn 7-9 August and the World Championships in Beijing begins until the end of August.
