Rönnberg on convictions miss: The deportation is crystal clear – Göteborgs-Posten

Frölunda bounced back after the loss. For this they can thank Sebastian Stålberg became two-goal marksman against HV71.

– Fun for Sebbe, hope you make him a superhero now, says Roger Rönnberg.

Guesting HV71 came to the Scandinavium Arena with five straight losses and had to return home with six straight. Frölunda were craving revenge for the 1-3 loss against Brynäs last went on a real nightmare start. Cheers for the return of Tom Nilsson had been presented had barely had time to settle before Martin Thornberg pangade the puck – after only 33 seconds.

– We were not really there, a heavy boot. But we repaired ourselves. However, I am not very satisfied with my performance, but it will get better, says Nilsson.

HV71 continued to be the better team and made the 2-0 after a controversial judgment calls. Ryan Lasch was torn down after being rounded cage – Judge Patrik Sjöberg chose free. Instead, Erik Christensen cannon mode and made no mistake.

– After the first period the judge came up to me and apologized. It was wrong – and things that happen, says Lasch.

Location to be able to check the replay in such a situation?

– It’s hockey. Sometimes you have studs with you. I would not be a big fan of replays of situations afterwards. It’s part of the game. Sometimes miss the judges, sometimes not. But it is understood to have different opinions here, too.

In the NHL there is a coach challenge that can be used on special occasions. Something that perhaps should be introduced in SHL?

– I agree! When it so obviously is wrong, of course, we in the SHL have such a coach Challenge NHL. I think also for the judges’ sake that there should be, that they feel they are getting a second chance. It is not so easy to see that in real time – and then not get the same chance as the audience and we get four or five times during replays. Expulsion is crystal clear, says Roger Rönnberg trainer in Frölunda.

Ryan Lasch was also involved in the situation that gave Jere Karalahti game misconduct. HV71 player was just back after a shutdown – and the rigging which met Lasch in the skull gave afterwards an upgrade to the match penalty. It means very likely a long shutdown of relapse criminal Kara Lahti.

– I was just lucky that it took more bad, says Ryan Lasch.

A beaming with joy after the game, two-goal shooter Sebastian Stalberg.

– Nice to score two goals, nice to score the first goals of the season. It was much needed, and feels like a few pounds disappeared from my shoulders, says Stalberg and continue.

– We are a winning team and believe in what we do. That is why we face and win this game.
