A day later, 19- year-old on the short runway Championship’s podium with his first medal around his neck.

– There’s a relief. Self-confidence comes back now, she says.

Louise Hansson came fifth in the 200 meters individual medley on Friday. She had been swimming near his personal best would have been enough to medal, but 59.60 was more than a half-second too slow.

Afterward crying 19-year-old of disappointment. She had hoped for so much more.

We jump forward one day. Louise Hansson comes walking in the mixed sun and the rays of the Israeli sun. She came third in the 100 meters individual medley, and won his first individual medal.

You look happy.

– It should probably be? I went in with the attitude to do my own race. I checked largely not where I was in the field, but drove my. In the last turning I saw that I was very good to.

How did you feel then?

It was fun. Then get but additional forces.

“Turning to the positive”

Hansson sees yesterday’s tears as a sign that she takes seriously its performance. But rarely has she been so disappointed that she was over in fifth place.

– It was tougher than it used to be. I was very disappointed yesterday. It has put high pressure on yourself and you want very much so when one does not live up to it, it is clear that you will be disappointed. But you have to try to drop it. I managed to get it.

What was it like to get to the hotel last night?

– To drop a bad race I tend to be good at, but I also tend to be sad when it did not go as I hoped. I think that it should be. It just shows that you want. You have to look through and see what went wrong and can walk better and how to turn it into something positive.

You saw the race and then it was gone when you went to bed you?

– Yes. Or I tried anyway.

Louise says she drew a lesson from the 200-meter race which she had brought to the medal race.

– It was more the attitude that did not go in with that pressure on myself. I do this because it’s fun. Then I enjoy the time I swim, she says.

Sjostrom sank one second

Louise Hansson swam for the finals in the 100 meters butterfly. It also took Sarah Sjöström who lowered his time between attempts and semi with a second and won the grand style at 55.65.
