Malmö big deal saved Gais financial statements – Göteborgs-Posten

Public Revenues fell sharply, and sponsorship revenues also fell. Yet landed Gais on the plus in 2015 – thanks to Malmo FF’s and Gents sales of Erik Johansson.

Gais annual report shows that 2015 was a tough year economically. Public revenues fell sharply, from 4.6 million to 3.6 million. One major reason was the weak sporting results. Green Black were somewhat uneven during the year and finished in eleventh place.

– We are not satisfied that we lose audience, then it’s. And the result is probably the only thing you can relate it to the fact. During the spring it looked pretty, but then we lose, says club treasurer Pär-Åke Sandström.

Although sponsorship revenues declined slightly, from seven million to 6.8.

– Sponsorship the difficult, but we are constantly working on the piece.

An entry in the accounts – and that makes the operating profit plus lands on – that stands out is “other operating income”. It amounts to 4.5 million and treasurer Sandstrom’s first secretive about where the money came from, but then says that among other things is about an “old business”, which again gave coffers.

– And then you might understand yourself that it’s Erik Johansson. He has changed the club a couple of times during the year, said Sandstrom.

When Gais sold Johansson at Malmo FF in 2013 got one with a resale clause in the contract – which thus seems to have paid off handsomely during the year. Johansson was sold from Malmo FF to Gent in the summer, and according to information he cost between 15 and 20 million. He then left Ghent for FCK, who reportedly paid about 17 million.

Gais get even a small solidarity replacement for Johansson, but the majority, 95 percent, goes to Falkenbergs FF because Johansson was 22 years old when he came to Gais.

Thanks to Erik Johansson klubbyten lands Gais at a profit 214 000 for 2015 and shareholders’ equity is up to three million.

– equity There is no danger at all, says Pär-Åke Sandström, who, however, have to recognize the actual operation runs.

– We work with costs throughout. And we do after a profit in spite of everything, he says.
