Have never seen anything like it … “- Aftonbladet

23 goals in the first half – 39 in total.

Sweden drove across Germany and set a new European Championship record number of goals scored.

– I have never experienced anything like, say TV4′s Claes Hellgren.

A draw against Holland later, and Croatia who are out of the tournament – it Sweden was nearly whipped to beat Germany to reach the semi-finals of the European Handball Championships.

Then took it out and staged a målshow called to do.

“Do not think it is true “

When the clock was at 26:30, Sweden had scored at 91 percent (!) of their shots, and when the Danish referees blew the halftime break showed the scoreboard somewhat improbable 23-17.

– Talk about the flow! I have never been through a similar start. 23 goals … I do not think it’s true! If we back the tape to Per Johansson (förförre coach reds. Notes) era, it was good if you made 23 goals during an entire match, says TV4′s Claes Hellgren.

The most prominent figures in the first half : Nathalie Hagman and Isabelle Gulldén with five and seven goals each. The latter hailed big of TV4′s expert.

– This is one of the better matches we’ve seen her do, says Hellgren.

Bella Gulldén yourself:

– Feels good. I have some revenge to demand after last game. This is how I want to play handball, go on all the time and be dangerous. Then it might look like this.

“Did that we can reach 40″

Sweden went down slightly at the beginning of the second half. Then took Jenny Carter’s hold of the baton and began pouring goal.

In the end, Sweden won the match by 39-32, which means new Swedish EM Records. Never before has the Swedish handball girls scored over 35 goals in a European Championship match.

– We already said in the first game, when we do 30, that we are playing well but burns much. We knew that if we hit the right so we can make 40, says coach Thomas Sivertsson.

Sweden will now face France, Montenegro and probably also Serbia in the round, there now takes the three points and important goal difference in the hunt for a semi-final place.

– We must try to bring us this feeling. It teaches slap a little more on France and Montenegro says Bella Gulldén after the game.
