Skelleftea received browned on Thursday evening and despite a large gambling goalkeeper in the away team took Skelleftea their seventh straight victory and continues to impress in SHL. Gavle team got a few really long bouts and good shot modes but did not get any puck behind Erik Hanses in the home team. Midway through the second period withdrew Skelleftea initiative in the game and played fantastically well. The home team got to play a lot powerplay but Bernard Starkbaum played absolutely brilliant and was clearly the best on the track in the first two periods. A somewhat frustrated the home team got going scoreless for the halftime break in anticipation of the third period.
Skelleftea continues to play well into the third period. Brynäs sticking up from time to time and have something good location but it is Skelleftea in command of the match and eventually fail Starkbaum resist. About seven minutes into the period pushes Martin Lundberg 1-0 to the home team. Just a minute later it is time again. Daniel Widing shoot a well-placed shot to the far post, resulting in 2-0 to Skellefteå. Brynäs makes a good attempt remainder of the final third and warrior reducing the lead to 2-1 by Pathrik Westerholm 14 minutes into the period, but will not closer than that. Bernard Starkbaum is the best player in the away team but could not resist the game through and Skellefteå wins the match deservedly
Skelleftea hit his club record and earned his seventh straight trepoängare. Västerbotten team continues to impress and pulls away from the table top.
