Marcus Ericsson qualified well in Malaysia.

The Swede was again a really good qualifying. He made it through to Q3 for the second race in a row and he starts from place ten in tomorrow’s race.
Even his team mate Felipe Nasr made it to the final qualifying session and will start from position nine. It is a great success for Sauber.
Mercedes was far superior in qualifying for the Chinese GP Lewis Hamilton took pole position ahead of Nico Rosberg.
– The track here in China continues to work really well for me. I have a really positive feeling and the car feels much better than it did in Malaysia, says Lewis Hamilton at the press conference.
Frustrated
He took his fifth pole position in Shanghai and four were hundredths before stables colleague Rosberg is greatly compressed.

McLaren was again a tough qualifying, both Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso failed to qualify for Q2. Last time in qualifying was Manor Marussias both cars, but they did both within 107-percent which means that they may run the race.
The race starts at 08:00 in the morning Sunday.
