Högberg stopped Skelleftea – Helsingborgs Dagblad

saw a red-hot Högberg to. The two last years champion won the shots with 35-14 – but could crack the zero only during the match last 43 seconds.

Then hit Linköping of a match penalty on landslagsbacken Daniel Rahimi and the visitors could in game six against four reduce two times.

– I had a really good feeling in your body today and felt that we would win this game. I thought we made a good match for 60 minutes, said Högberg.

He received an award as best Linköping and the crowd chanted his name. As much fun, it was not after last home game when he was substituted in Skellefteå’s 7-2 victory.

– I was not really into the game as I could and let something cheap goals. But you can not hang lip for it. You just have to move on when the games come so close. I thought I did an okay match in Skellefteå later, he said.

The two-goal shooter Jacob Micflickier acclaimed Högberg.

– He was fantastic. He made the saves we needed and some that looked impossible out, said the Canadian who shot the team’s first two goals.

The 1-0 came in the team’s first shot after 13:27 of the first period and 2-0 at the very beginning of the third period. Broc Little shot 3-0 before Skellefteås late curtailments by Erik Forssell (19:17) and Axel Holmstrom (19:52).

Up the hill is still gigantic Linkoping. No team has managed to turn 0-3 in matches to victory in SHL finals history. The question is whether Linkoping only managed to postpone the inevitable end point to on Easter Sunday.

– We’ve played well up there, it was 50-50 last game so we have a great chance of winning there, said Högberg.

Skellefteå coach Hans Wallson was satisfied despite the loss.

– We make a good game, the only thing missing are the targets. We release only 14 shots on goal away from home and it’s very good. We still have a good feeling, he said.

There was emotion in Linköping of the match penalty on Rahimi, but it was not considered as rough and reverse the rock is back in the next game.
