Paulinho is back in BK Hacken after four years outside of Sweden.
The reunion began with a sneer on Facebook.
– He saw eachother photo and commented that I looked fat out. Then we continued to talk, says Häcken sporting director Sonny Karlsson to the GP.
The Brazilian Paulinho came to BK Hacken in 2007 when the team played in the Premier League. During the four seasons played striker in the yellow and black sweatshirt, two in the Premier League and two in the headlines. In total he answered for 34 goals and 17 assists for the Gothenburg club.
This summer he returns.
– We’ve had an eye on him all the time and heard by at regular intervals. Now he contacted us on Facebook when we were at camp in the US last winter. He saw somebody picture and commented that I looked fat out. Then we continued talking and he asked if we wanted him. It’s clear we want to, I said, says Sonny Karlsson.
“Was close to losing him”
Paulinho also did a season for Orebro in 2011 where it became four goals.
Today belongs striker Brazilian club XV Piracicaba who plays in the regional championship Campeonato Paulista in Sao Paulo.
It leads 29-year-old top scorer.
– It’s been a little for good, so we were close to losing him. There were clubs in the United States, Brazil and Turkey who wanted him so I figured it was best to go here, says Karlsson.
“Lived by his talent”
The contract with XV Piracicaba expires in April and then expected Paulinho connect to Hisingen. Ready for the league, he is only on 15 July.
– The last time he was here he lived more in his talent, he is more professional now and know that he is a football player first and foremost. It will be jädrigt well this says Karlsson.
