Eriksson has signed a contract until 2018 – Expressen

Sebastian Eriksson’s contract with IFK Gothenburg is signed.

– It extends to the summer of 2018, Blåvitt just have to buy off me, says Eriksson.

Mats Gren has previously said that he is interested to redeem Sebastian Eriksson’s call option. Eriksson’s loan contract extends to June and IFK must decide by June 10.

Now, says the protagonist himself to his personal contract is signed and ready.

– It would be nice if IFK exercised the purchase option . I’ve always said that I want to be home. I’m aiming to be left so I hope they buy me, says Eriksson.

Have you had contact with Cagliari?

– I have not talked with them down there. I concentrate on Blåvitt full.

Can move in the future

Eriksson got much of his time in Cagliari spoiled by injuries and felt therefore that it was time to move home.

– There were four tough years with little playing time. I learned a lot about life and how it is out in European football. It was unfortunately not what I had hoped for since I put on my two serious injuries, then I felt it was time to move home, says Eriksson.

Can leave for money

Although Sebastian Eriksson seems very happy at home in Gothenburg, he has opened up to play abroad for a few years like Tobias Hysen. The reason is the same as for Hysen – to secure a future by earning enough money before his career is over. But it is no biggie for IFK Gothenburg.

– I hope to play football for at least ten years. I have not been professional for ten years, so hopefully it’s more than half left. There’s plenty of time to play abroad, says Eriksson.
