Sävehof ran over Skovde third semifinal – Göteborgs-Posten

No, it easily becomes not with Sävehof. 34-19 in the third semifinal match against Skövde

steamroller looks to be cooked.

It is not often that’s women’s handball in Partillebohallen and the home team has the knife at his throat. It had Sävehof this Sunday. And it’s not often it is such a noise level and atmosphere as it was on this Sunday.

After six straight national championships and 95 consecutive victories was suddenly outnumbered 0-2 in matches in the semifinal series against Skövde. Loss and the season would be over. A position Sävehof is not accustomed.

Skovde – who finished fifth in the series, 20 points behind Sävehof – had two bus loads of supporters with them to Partille. And they were heard well.

But would it really go to beat Sävehof three times in a row? Very hung on for Skovde could continue keeping up defense game, to stop especially Jenny Alm and Ida Odén, and if the goalkeeper Cecilia Grubbström again could close the case.

The first two attempts, from Jenny Alm and Ida Odén, passed Grubbström. It took a penalty (after 3:05) to crack the zero. But Grubbström was on Odén shot.

After steamed Sävehof on, cramps and got exactly the start they were looking for. Skovde was with the 3-2 then made Sävehof six straight and led 9-2 after 14 minutes played.

The steamroller was in motion.

After twenty, it was 13-4. In the break 18-8.

The second half was really only playing by. But Sävehof continued to drive on. So we are used to seeing them.

24-13 with fifteen minutes left to play. So far Ida had Odén sent eight balls.

With ten minutes left injured Elin Karlsson left knee. Was lying in pain, quickly became wrapped, got up but was helped off the pitch. Did not look good.

Sävehof is back on track. 1650 people looked on, the decibel level was high.

Skovde is 2-1 in matches and will try again on Sunday. This time, they had not much to set against.

– I hope that we can win in Skövde, and there can be a fifth and decisive match at home, says Jenny Wikensten to SVT after the game.

– We showcases an entirely different determination, and we may go with us and doing quite simple goals compared to the other two matches. Why have not we done this before? I really do not know, says Jenny Wikensten to SVT.
