Streets, fountains, shops, trees … everything will be orange “- Aftonbladet

Ystad. Kristianstad is ready for her third final in four years.

Then the entire handball mad city of Orange before the final.

– Streets, fountains, all shops, roundabouts, trees … everything will be orange, says club manager Nikolas Larsson.

Kristianstad ran over Ystad away from home in the fourth semifinal with 26-19 and is ready for the national finals against Alingsås, 24 May in the Scandinavium arena.

It will be the third SM-finals in four years for Swedish Handball new giants. But no gold, it has not been for Ola Lindgren & amp; Co yet. Kristianstad has not actually been champion since in 1953.

– But this is the best edition in my years, says Ola Lindgren.



Orange City

To support their team for the final will now Club, the municipality and the trade association launched a gigantic project.

– The night of Thursday, the entire town turn orange before Sunday. – Streets, fountains, all shops, roundabouts, trees … everything will be orange. It will be so fucking awesome, says club manager Nikolas Larsson.

– The finals coincide with the cultural night in Kristianstad and other activities. Since we hope that it will culminate with the team will return to the Orange City on Monday with a gold so that we can celebrate them there.

The whole party goes off at just over SEK 200 000.

The team captain Johan Jepson amazed when he hears about the project.

– It is amazing how we have the city of Kristianstad residents behind us. Check only the celebration when we come home with silver, he says.

But the demands have been raised since the two final defeats in 2012 and 2013. Three years ago, was the final scene a feat and 2013 felt most sorry for Kristianstad and said that we had won the finals for only the keeper Herdeiro Lucau received a ball in the eye and had to go to hospital in the first half.

– Absolutely! Now we may well go to hell if we lose, ha ha. No, but we would be second again it will be probably no celebration.

For the final in Gothenburg expected 3500 Kristianstad fans. Almost as many hope Alingsås get in the back.

– There will be a dream final with two lovely heels that will create a magical atmosphere, says Nikolas Larsson.

Kristianstad won the regular season far before Alingsås but West Gotlanders has impressed big in the playoffs.

What are the favorites in the finals?

– It is 50/50, says both Lindgren and Jepson.
