These four Sweden could meet in the playoffs – Göteborgs-Posten

Now the group stage of European Championship qualifiers finished – and the results on Tuesday went Sweden’s way. Blue and yellow are seeded in Sunday’s playoff drawing of lots and will be paired against Denmark, Ireland, Norway or Slovenia.

It was a real nail-biter as the last matches in EM kvalets group stage was settled on Tuesday.

The main cause of concern for Hamréns national team was on Holland would fix a playoff spot, despite the team’s poor European Championship qualifier, and if Norway would pinch a direct place under the nose of Croatia. In this situation, Sweden had become oseedat and got a tough journey to the finals in France next summer.

But that did not happen.

Norway, with IFK Gothenburg’s left Haitam Aleesami from the start, gazed out to blare away against Italy. The Norwegians took the lead in the first half and were in the position ready for the European Championships, as group winners.

But after 73 minutes, following a questionable actions of Aleesami, could Alessandro Florenzi putting the equalizer. The fly then made Graziano Pelle 2-1, giving Italy the group victory and Croatia took the other direct place in Group H. Instead of Norwegian direct advancement slipped our Nordic neighbors down the oseedade pot in the playoff draw.

The biggest bang in the EM kvalets group stage has been Holland. And the orange squad continued to perform at a remarkably low level Tuesday.

The Czech Republic went up to 3-0 well into the second half after an own goal by Robin van Persie. Holland certainly reduced twice, but when the final whistle sounded at the Amsterdam Arena was a fiasco a fact. Holland miss the European Championship finals next summer.

In the same group, Turkey succeeded, despite a decimated squad, score the only goal in the end against Lasse stock Bäcks Island. Thus, Turkey stepped up as EM kvalets best group of three, giving a direct ticket to the European Championships.

EM playoffet raffled on Sunday at 11.15. Matches played November 12 to 14 and November 15 to 17.
