She has national championships, World Championship bronze and Olympic games on the merit list.
But more is there for Sara Thunebro, 36, who effectively ending his career in Eskilstuna United.
– The best memories are the years with Djurgarden / Älvsjö, where we won the Gold medal in 2003 and 2004. World Cup bronze medal in 2011 in Germany and last match with record attendance at Tunavallen which is now home to me, she told the club’s website.
In this summer’s World Cup in Canada, it was only 15 minutes in total, which meant that she chose to end national team career after 136 matches.
“Perhaps thinking differently”
– I’m 36 and had to play the fourth, then we have not much left in the squad to do. I had had more time, or been in the starting line I might have reasoned differently, she said then to Eskilstuna Kurriren.
The decision will now have weighed into the winger adds to the football brand.
– It has been a difficult decision. When I quit the national team last summer disappeared a dimension of my football playing and this together with me looking a civilian job allows me decide to quit, says Thunebro.
