TV Hiljemark aiming games in derbies: “There will be some extra safety” – Football Channel

SOLNA. After the cancellation of Pontus Wernbloom opened the door for playing time Oscar Hiljemark against Denmark.
– I bet 100 percent on that play, says the Serie A midfielder.

Albin Ekdal is injured, Pontus Wernbloom has also had to cancel and Oscar Lewicki is in the squad but recently suffered a concussion.

Palermo -mittfältaren and European Championship hero of the U21 national team last summer, Oscar Hiljemark, thus the way open for playing time in the play-off matches against Denmark on 14 and 17 November.
– There has been little damage and cancellations. When I received the invitation so I put my head to come here and help with my grades. I bet 100 percent on that play, says Hiljemark.

– Then it’s up to Erik (Hamrén, coach) and ledarstaben if it comes to that. But I’m here and I’m ready. I look forward to this very much. The goal is to take us to the European Championships.

What do you think about the meetings with Denmark?
– It feels very inspiring. There will be two great games and it gives some extra spice when Denmark we meet. I look forward incredibly much, says 23-year-old.

What is your relationship to Denmark?
– No more than I know it is a talented football team. It’s usually tough games against them. There is a special draw that gave a little extra spice. There is a Scandinavian derby, but when we step out there on the pitch, it is a European Championship we play for, regardless of nation. But it will be great.

– There will always be some extra safety in a Scandinavian derby. I think it is driven on a lot in the media, but I think their and our troops know it’s a football game we should play. There are eleven against eleven and you can try to break it down to the important points as it still is. It is the football we play. Then it is clear that there is an enormous amount at stake. It knows both nations if, say Hiljemark.
