Following the altercation with the guards at Stureplan – Stockholm District Court acquits AIK’s star midfielder Dickson Etuhu.
In early November, we had a brawl at a nightclub in Stureplan, as AIK’s star midfielder Dickson Etuhu was involved in.
Etuhu arrested by police and was later charged to violence and threats against the official. The prosecutor applied for an fängelestraff around two to three months for AIK player, but Etuhu himself says that he just tried to calm down the situation.
On Monday came the Stockholm City Court in the case. It absolves Dickson Etuhu.
AIK player says that he tried to pull away the guards to put a stop to the row, which another man also was involved in. The second man is freed as well.
The ruling that Etuhus attempted to tear away the guards are not considered as violence against official.
“Responsibility for the violence against the official pursuant to Chapter 17 § 1 Penal Code requires that the employee is exposed to violence, meaning that the criminal berries violent hand on him thus subjected to beatings or coerced. The only displace an officer to prevent a service action is not normally to label as assaulting a police officer. The same applies to snatch or tearing at his clothes, unless such a measure of exception almost completely deprived him of the ability to act. Dickensons measures under deed steps f) and g) are the light of the foregoing is not to assess that violence against an official. It is rather the so that the report clearly shows that Dickson wanted to protect X (the other man) and he properly acted attstävja and interrupt X of violence. The indictment against Dickson must be dismissed in its entirety, “reads the judgment.
AIK’s sports director Björn Wesström to TT for district court:
– It is clear that there are good that he will be acquitted. Since there is reason to discuss the situation in view of the events that led to this. We will have a meeting (with Etuhu) a week.
