Lulea crushed on Modo bortais – Sydsvenskan

The win against Modo was the team’s fourth straight trepoängare, sixth in seven games.

Lulea is on the way up the table, eight right now but has a place the top six – which provides a safe place in the quarter-finals in the spring – in clear sight.

The question is what that has given Luleå lift?

– We have been consistent. When we lost earlier it was not because of bad luck, but we were not consistent throughout the matches, said Joakim Fagervall.

– Then maybe we did it in 30 minutes, and then you win no games. Now we have managed to come very close to 60 minutes.

In the second reverse to back meeting with Modo was content Lulea with just over 40 minutes.

The first two periods, it was clean utklassning. Lulea went Modo to pieces.

The match was settled since the middle of the second period, again with two quick goals, 0-3 (Jacob Lagace) and 0-4 (Janne Sandström) in 42 seconds .

– Number three was really important, Modo had come out well in the period and were on time, said Joakim Fagervall.

Four wreaked great hullabaloo. In the moment before had Modo slope Emil Djuse received a high stick to the face and remained on the ice.

The event was clearly visible in the replay on the Jumbotron, the crowd was in an uproar, and Modo Players protested wildly but fruitless.

The audience at least bit funny when Modo reduced to 1-5 and 2-5 in the third period.

Andreas Johansson took out the goalkeeper Adam Reid Born (Jonathan Bjurö replaced after two periods) with four minutes left to hopefully make it even more fun – but Johan Forsberg put the 2-6 in the empty cage.

Very good match of Lulea, very bad Modo where assistant coach Fredrik Olausson was a man of few words at the press conference.

– We made too many mistakes that we must correct. We were completely wrong in the system.

How could it be so?

– We will analyze.
