Sedin were decided and triggered big fights – Aftonbladet

NEW YORK. Florida Panthers winning streak is over.

Daniel Sedin cut it with his second goal of the match Overtime in Rogers Arena last night.

Then ensued a violent riot at the visiting booths – for the Swedish match hero and twin brother Henrik replicated on rough comments from opponents.

– It was a players who said things that went across the border. You become disappointed in some things, says Daniel Sportbladet after the 3-2 victory.

After a third period in which it has long looked like the Florida Panthers had shut down the game and went against his thirteenth straight victory, it was to say the least dramatic end in Rogers Arena.

Young Jake Virtanen equalized immediately after a face-off when two and a half minutes remaining of normal time.

“Variant we practiced”

During the overtime that followed since Jaromir Jagr sent off for hooking – and the power play four-on-three completed Daniel Sedin the famous Panthers suite with his second goal for the evening.

– The emergence of a variant we practiced during training sessions so it was nice that it worked, says Daniel when we reach him afterwards.

– You always want to break that kind where the suites, but the main thing for us was the fact that we could come back from behind to take the two points, and end our long home suite in a good way.

“A player who said things”

Since erupted then a giant brawl of the sort you usually only see on television pictures from the 70′s.

Something was said between the base and suddenly nearly all the players involved in the tumult around the visitors’ booths, including Florida Coach Gerard Gallant and the other one goalie (!) Al Montoya.

It all started when the brothers Sedin pointed out, and said something to the players on the bench.

– It was a player who said, things and we responded. We always hear things and it belongs to, but tonight it went across the border, explains Daniel.

– It is sad that it should be like that, but sometimes …. you will be disappointed at what said.

attacks from commentators

Daniel does not want to specify the Florida player was walking across the border but reportedly in the North American media last night, it was about veteran Shawn Thornton – who played Boston Bruins when they and Canucks met in the highly infected Stanley Cup finals in 2011.

Neither has “Dan” so much to say about the Panthers television commentators apparently had some kind of outburst and called Twins for “low-life” and said “that’s finger Henrik spreading peanut butter directly on their sandwiches with” whatever that should mean.

– I heard quite quickly on that, but they had not heard what was said on the ice, so it may take, mean game hero.

Coach Gallant, who then was involved in the altercation after the ruling and definitely a risk-off, do not come to the press conference afterwards.

– He went straight to the airport to go and bury his mother, said assistant coach John Madden, who jumped in instead,

equaled Naslund

Somewhat overshadowed by all the uproar arrived the fact that Daniel with their goals equaled his friend Markus Naslund club record for number of goals.

Both now stands at 346 direct hits.

– It is a great honor, but Mark is still number one for me. I have played so many more games for the club than him at this point, he is still the best, says Daniel.
