Leicester leading the league by five points. The Foxes will lie in state until May and who do you see as the biggest challenger?
Linus: – I said from the beginning that Arsenal would win the league this year, which looked really good until the New Year as usual, then drop in the peak towards the spring. Leicester look incredibly strong charge and also has an okay game schedule remains, it is possibly the last three games as the tougher law will, which is in early May. Yes, Leicester will be in the top, at least in the beginning of May and is also currently the title favorites. It is difficult to appoint the team of Tottenham, Arsenal and City which is the biggest challenger. Tottenham’s been terrible good this season, but also has a tough schedule remaining against teams that are difficult to meet. Arsenal and City meet the in turn each other in the penultimate round in something that certainly becomes something of a ödesmatch. Although the city is always strong and most likely will pick a lot of points at the end, I think a top four finish is somewhat City is pleased with this year, and even focus on that Pep will play the Champions League when he arrives for next season, but the hottest challenger may I say is Pochettinos Tottenham.
Erik: – the foxes have great opportunities to keep the serial line a few more rounds. Then the West Ham, Man U, Everton and Chelsea in the last matches. Although they clearly leads to the final rounds will require a huge mental strength of the team not to falter and begin to doubt when the title is close. My Arsenal believe I will win the league for several reasons, which points the distance to one is the largest. Exclusion method makes when Tottenham to the biggest challenger.
Martin – Leicester has stood for the season and blaring, even though nobody believed them, continually shown that they, rightly, are at the top. Playing the show’s funniest football and I think, given their remaining programs, it carries all the way. Tottenham are the only team that can threaten, but then you have to blah win against United, Liverpool and Chelsea to catch up. After Leicester until it is proof that it is possible to threaten the big teams in the PL. A true story …
The nimble newcomer Watford has dropped like a stone in the table and have only taken two wins in the last 10 matches. Is the magic of the Vicarage Road?
Linus: – The magic is certainly not over at Vicarage Road. They have not lost at home since the meeting against Manchester City in the New Year without war continues on well, especially at home. I think it might be a little too easy staring yourself blind at Watford won only two of the 10 last games. Obviously this is not good statistics in terms of how it looked earlier in Watford this season, but the teams they lost the last 10 matches are teams Watford in advance is weaker than such as Leicester, Manchester United and Tottenham. I consider it quite natural that such an earlier form strong Watford loses some farther into the season to come, as well as falling natural that law goes in peaks and valleys. It possibly is a little more alarming is that one has not done a single goal in the last three matches. In summary, this is not the magic over at Vicarage Road on Ighalo enters the målstim he recently was in it’s terrible hard to win over The Hornets.
Erik: – I do not want jinxa and say the magic is over for Sunday cupkvart against Arsenal … Would say that Watford have had bad luck recently, with the odd goal losses against several top teams. It is, on the other hand, a rather expected performance for a newcomer. Now they are in no man’s land, and I fear that they may fall further, without having to worry about the ground battle.
Martin: – Hardly! The game is there, and even the defensive. Unfortunately, the problems in the scoring Watford where Ighalo and Deeney was in terrible shape in the autumn. As it is now possible spanner in the works must midfielders step forward. A single goal (Almen Abdi) from midfield so far is lousy even for a newcomer. Then it does lodge role to play evenly with the top teams. Watford’s goal was to stay in the PL and probably it is enough score to 3-4 to reach the goal. But is not it a bit alarming when, around Christmas, sniffs at a European place and now fell on the lower half again. But count on the club for years to come. It will be the owner, the family Pozzo, guarantee!
It’s been a while since a coach got fired in the Premier League. Now it looks like both McClaren and Pardew must check out. Who smokes first?
Linus: – Haha, one was fired last year from Newcastle and the other looks to be kicked from just Newcastle, which says a lot about the coach, it is The Magpies have picked up in recent years. It seems that now that McClaren can kick basically anytime while Pardew rather hang loose. McClaren learns to smoke before Pardew.
Erik: – It seems to be over for Steve McClaren in Newcastle. Pardew, I can imagine will finish the season before kick not come in summer. Depending on how well the Palace management know his track record from previous clubs with good start and then the obligatory race. If management feels the vibes now the time may be looking for Pards very soon.
Martin – Palace has 12 straight games without a win and obviously Pardew does not sleep well at night. But probably Steve McClarens days Toons already ended. In terms of playing budget and squad then it should be impossible to fail so miserably as McClaren made. But the chance of a life in PL next year is great for Newcastle but it will not be with Steve McClaren at the controls.
… and to follow up the training issue as rumored, both Rafael Benitez and David Moyes to Tyneside. Who is best suited to keep Newcastle in the parlor?
Linus: – It is difficult to know what to take into consideration when including the rumored that Benitez thought that chalk on a three-year contract with Newcastle while the media speculate that Benitez will get a ‘manager’ role in Newcastle instead of ” head coach “, which is unique in terms of owner Mike Ashley’s model as a manager role would involve a freer role for Benitez with more influence.
To try to exclude own values as much as possible and look at things more objectively as Benitez is still more suited than Moyes. Benitez feels just like Moyes to the league well, and although Benitez flopped last at Real Madrid so still feels Moyes condemned more than Benitez. Benitez is further Spaniard which is extremely interesting as Newcastle has previously held only British coach in the club except some Argentines for many years ago. Benitez may stand for a seemingly boring football, but it may be the injection as The Magpies actually need most when it has been very merry dance in both the team as the club the past five years, an organized team with a clear game idea is requested.
Last but not remember so Benitez, the fans most want to see come to Tyneside, and even this is unique as it is usually employed a limited UK with very little influence over the club and only a board partner to owner Ashley. I think that the choice of Moyes would look more suspicious than what the choice of Benitez would do. The fans want Benitez, and Ashley for once hire a manager that fans actually stands behind it will be really interesting to see if Benitez could even try to fix today’s broken Newcastle slightly. To be continued but the most suitable for practicing role in Newcastle’s Rafa Benitez.
Erik: – Rafa could certainly save Newcastle remain so in the short term, he is the choice. Moyes however, feels more suited as a coach of a club of Newcastle’s size and had probably had a longer-term vision. Benitez said dither manage all transfers if he takes, which I interpreted partly as a vote of no confidence to the current sporting management and partly a sign that he would never be long lived there with that attitude to the club. Going from the world’s biggest club to an underperforming Newcastle is otherwise a bizarre practice development in every way.
Martin: – that there is money in the club showed clearly when acquired Andros Townsend. For the midfielder did not move north to the about a football challenge as well. Just money is the only reason that Benitez would even consider Newcastle. Nah – I think more of David Moyes and his revenge in the English football. Newcastle could be his “new” Everton. The chance for a life of PL next year is great for Newcastle and with some new blood on the coaching position, I think that the club plays in the highest league also next season.
The ticket prices for the away supporters lowered from next season. Is 30 pounds a reasonable maximum price?
Linus: – The most important thing in this case is that it actually measures are taken at all and that you are not trying to downplay the protests that recently occurred not least in England against the high fares. To align the focus rather on the very question that is 30 pounds an okay maximum price. Then it depends on how the clubs will handle this maximum price. If clubs have fares that are moving, I think actually that a ceiling of 30 pounds is approved. However, it must not be that you sell all the away team’s tickets for 30 pounds because it will be the limit, without having movable fares depending on whether it is a state of the match or not, top matches can be sold for 30 pounds to away supporters, while not as hot matches will a cheaper price. Finally, it is very important that there is a limit at all to the home team will be able to sell tickets for extortionate prices, but yes, 30 pounds is an approved maximum price and it is good to see that action is taken and that the issue of too expensive fares going in the right direction.
Erik: – the most important thing is that the supporters’ movement push through changes, then if the limit is 25, 30 or 35 pounds worth discussing. I think above all that 30 pounds is a reasonable and good step from the shameless away tickets at 60 pounds and up. Also, given that the quality of football does not justify such sums.
Martin: – Without a doubt! Supporters of the majority of clubs have had their say regarding fares and, not least, gone companion, is vital for a living läktarkultur. In a league where public revenues are no longer a “survival issue”, given the TV contracts, etc., so it’s brilliant that it now goes supporters to meet on this issue!
