Very new J-South against the “blue-white” – Jnytt.se

Both J-Södra and IFK Göteborg finished second in their group in the Swedish Cup and managed to not qualify for the quarterfinals. Since this weekend was matchfri for both teams, they decided to meet in a friendly match in newly built Priority Serneke Arena in Kviberg.

– It feels great because we did not have a game this weekend. We can meet good opponents in a good location of the preseason, says Jimmy Thelin.

– We have weak track of Gothenburg and know how they play. It is a team that attacks with much power and speed, so it will be a tough challenge.

J-Southern lacks André Calisir, who get to rest this match, and Simon Dimitrijevic, who has a cold. But otherwise, all players available for the game.

“Positive impression”

– We will change little in the starting line-up compared to the last game. We are in a process where it is important that all players evolve into the premiere. It is important that as many people as possible get to know the game environment and that we have connection between the players on the pitch. I want to see continued development of cooperation in the plan and that all the cogs in our gaming model, says Thelin.

This week’s two test players, goalkeeper Davor Blazevic and defender Alex Portillo, in place of the J-Southern. Of those Portillo will be featured in the game against Gothenburg.

– There are two great characters who are professional in their profession, they are disciplined and have good properties. I have received positive impression of them, but there is an ongoing evaluation of them, says Jimmy Thelin.

undefeated this year

Even in Gothenburg, which is undefeated so far in 2016, he is excited about the game.

– we are naturally curious about how we will stand us against a team in the same series. We were very pleased with the effort against Halmstad, where we kept a clean sheet and scored three goals ahead. Hopefully this match be another brick in our ambition to develop our game as much as possible not the Allsvenskan premiere, says assistant coach Magnus Edlund to the club’s website.
