Jaromir Jagr reached another milestone in its stunning NHL career.

Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Gordie Howe and Ron Francis. Now shaded NHL giants of Jaromir Jagr after a goal and an assist went up to fifth place in the all-time top scorer in NHL hockey on Tuesday night Finnish time.

It was in one 500th NHL game as the 42-year-old Jagr took the opportunity to pass Marcel Dionne points in the league of all time. Jagr has now made 1772 points, one more than Dionne. And it is not impossible for the Czech to climb further – he is 26 points from Ron Francis.

– The key is to play many matches and not incur any injuries, said Jagr to Star-Ledger after his New Jersey beaten Carolina 2-1.

Just a few hours before the game felt Jagr sagging and told his coach that he did not play much.

– But with an hour left to the match, everything changed. It went on a minute, says Jagr.

Jagr has played for Pittsburgh, Washington, New York Rangers, Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston and New Jersey in the NHL and beyond that also made including three seasons for Omsk in the KHL.

With only five minutes left of the game led the NY Rangers 3-1 over the Pittsburgh Penguins and the thing seemed clear. But they beat Pittsburgh back with two quick goals and got an extension. Just over a minute before the extension period ended decided, however, the Rangers slope Kevin Klein with a slap shot, 4-3 to the Rangers.

In the other matches St. Louis beat Florida 4-2 and the visitors NJ Carolina 2-1.
