The disadvantage broadly throughout the game and big stars like underperformed.
But then stepped Ida Odén developed and managed the save point after a large final seconds drama.
– I just shot, she says to TV 4th
The victory in the opening match against Croatia gave Sweden a dream start to the Championship. But when the chance was to relax the grip on a group victory against Holland came Swedish team is not in quite the same quality.
Sweden was certainly up to 3-0 directly in the beginning but then it was Holland all the way and Sweden dropped to 7-12-underdog after just over 20 minutes played. Sweden took in and of itself caught up to 14-14 at the break but the players were properly self-critical.
“Playing with us”
– It is too bad, we will not play in level and they get absolutely rocking on us in defense. We have to go in and start afresh and come out as new people and put a stop to them right now so playing them with us, ‘said Isabelle Gulldén to TV 4th
But in the second half continued the game to hack .
Sweden had tremendous problems with Holland’s niometersspelare, especially the left ninth grade Estevana Polman (10 goals), while the Swedish stars betrayal. Isabelle Gulldén and Linnea Torstensson scored only four goals together while Sabina Jacobsen in the defense does not come up in default.
Then chose the Swedish coaches to insert bench players who lifted the Swedish game.
Ready for advancement
Still, it looked far out to become Dutch victory. The team went on the attack with 30-29-line and a minute left to play. But their trades hit the crossbar and Sweden got a chance to level the score. Head coach Islands Tomas Sivertsson and Helle Thomsen took time out and took out the goalie and put an extra player. The planned clearance was not of – but instead stepped Sweden’s top scorer Ida Odén up and made his seventh goal with a forearm shot around his defender to 30-30 by twelve seconds left.
– Incredibly well coached, acclaimed Claes Hellgren on television 4th
Head coach Tomas Sivertsson was so clearly satisfied:
– It was perhaps not the finish we were thinking, but Ida takes responsibility and it is wonderful to see. Incredibly important points.
Ida Odén says of the decision:
– I do not have to think so much, me or Jenny would shoot and I just shot, she said.
The point means that Sweden is ready for the round unless Germany and Croatia plays a draw later in the evening.
