IFK Varnamo got a good start to the Premier League when they defeated Ljungskile on Finnvedsvallen. Dzenis Kozica scored the winner 2-1 on a penalty in the 85th minute before 1273 cheering spectators.
The premiere of IFK Varnamo home on Finnvedsvallen against Ljungskile was not much to have gameplay. Much thanks to the bad file that has not made it easy to roll the ball. It was pretty tough duels between players and the referee Dragan Banjac handed out two yellow cards to Värnamo and a Ljungskile during the first half. Scoring chances were not good if either, both teams created anyway respective alright chance to finish. First Ljungskile by captain Marcus Gustafsson with a shot tightly over. And then remembered Värnamo Oskar Johansson arrived in the 16th minute and got off a clearance on the right from Victor Nilsson. Ljungskile was then the most offensive team during the remainder of the half, but Värnamo goalkeeper Akesson was awake and came out and took care of inspelen in the penalty area. No goal in the first 45 minutes so it was 0-0 at halftime.
The second half started with better speed and better game from both teams and the game swung back and forth. And after 58 minutes of a game came the first goal. Värnamo Issam Jebali broke through Ljungskile defense and rounded goalkeeper Jonathan Jackson, rolling in 1-0. Ljungskile lifted after the target to up their game and pushed Värnamo towards his own goal. After 72 minutes, so were visiting Ljungskile punishment, James Olsson knocked the ball as Akesson in the home goal was close to save but the ball went in the goal during Åkesson. But the home team was not discouraged by the acknowledgment. Värnamo Dzenis Kozica was in the 75th minute frispelad by Pär Cederqvist the right of the penalty area.
