Rylander assesses Frölunda Players – Göteborgs-Posten

No one reaches a fiver – but there is a fifth player to score fours in the ratings. Here are Frölunda season – players for players.

FOUR LIGHTHOUSES

Mattias Janmark, center.

Went to Frölunda to get closer to the NHL – and succeeded. Admittedly changed the Detroit Red Wings him away to the Dallas Stars, but this season will give AIK asks a contract with the NHL team. Best in the regular season – and scores best in the playoffs. Good luck!

Michael Wikstrand, back.

Has played steady throughout the season, Frölunda’s been absolutely jaw. Roger Rönnberg call him the world’s oldest 21-year-old – and the one who talked to Wikstrand understand why. Take for themselves on the field – and off. Wise. Sovereign in the playoffs.

Lasse Johansson, goalkeeper.

Started the season that recently had an operation in the hip, were matched carefully. After Christmas stepped However Avesta Son up – and the playoffs he was appointed first goalkeeper. Rescued Frölunda time after time.

Joel Lundqvist, center.

Took after New Year’s decision to stay and lead the forces in another three seasons, although with reduced salary. It shows the club’s heart – and in the playoffs, the captain has been the nuclear power plant that nearly tackled Frölunda to the final. Good job!

Mathis Olimb, center.

Won NHL season in the Champions Hockey League and was Frölunda’s main producer during the regular season, the one that the team built the game around. So good that clubs in Switzerland and Russia shouted: Him we shall have! In the playoffs, he disappeared, however, in certain matches, but finished with a goal in the final fight for Frölunda. Good luck in Jokerit.

THREE LIGHTHOUSES

Mats Rosseli Olsen, forward.

The Afflicted by pain in the knee, resulting from hip surgery. Got them to perform to their best season in Frölunda – and was in the playoffs driving in the best chain with Captain Lundqvist. Hitting it big with injury-free summer training?

Andrew Johnson, forward.

Broke through properly in the regular season – and had he not been injured, and disappeared in the playoffs had certainly the case continued to fall into. Wise in spite of young age – and is sure to stay in Frölunda to continue development. 30 goals next season?

Lukas Bengtsson back.

Is it possible to rate someone after nine playoff games? Answer yes. Luke Bengtsson is 20 years – and came in from the headlines and changed the hierarchy among the slopes. Moving hips, fantastic shot. Will be a sensation when he becomes thoroughly trained in the summer.

Erik Gustafsson, back.

Took a chance when John Klingberg disappeared – and was Frölunda’s sharpest back in the Champions Hockey League. Is sometimes a little too flighty, giving away someone puck with bravado and then.

Antturi Lehkonen, forward.

Have interspersed season to go speechless to making hat-trick against Skellefteå and Växjö. Need to grow on a few pounds – but is a terrible talent. Also learned Swedish.

Robin Figren, forward.

Found indeed fluency when Ryan Lasch came to the club – and pouring out their goals for a while. Fan favorite Never Give and played in the playoffs fotskadad and syringes. It sat down capacity.

Max Görtz, forward.

Have been so good this season that he certainly take the opportunity to go over to the other side of the Atlantic , to Nashville. However, there are a bunch of right-firing Swedes before him in the rankings – and maybe a challenging year for the SHL would be the very best?

Anton Blidh, forward.

Is that a small Joel Lundqvist. Or small and tiny – Blidh have strength and size to fight in front of goal and always gives 100 percent. That he should have respect for. Worst plus / minus statistics on the team, though.

Ryan Lasch, forward.

was recruited as lace – and was brilliant during the regular season. Got off on Figren – and who goes right on target all the time. Disappeared in the playoffs with a muscle injury at the ribs and never got back. Potential!

Nicklas Lasu, center.

Have not reached last year’s playoffs class, but can blame a completely torn ligament in the knee. However, came back – and is the team’s very best players in short-handed.

two lighthouses

Elias Fälth, back.

Is not the greatest slope, but rarely does a really bad game. Can offer a little pucks certain times – and should shoot more. Have a fantastic shot.

Oscar Fantenberg, back.

Moved to Frölunda to speed up the development, but has been still a bit during the season. Zero in plus / minus – and not until the playoffs, he showed his true potential. Take advantage of the skating more next season!

Linus Fernström, goalkeeper.

Started the season bright – and was for a while the SHL-keeper who released the fewest goals behind out per game. NHL even showed interest. Then came the CHL-finals – and a true mediocre effort. Where turned the season – and now it will not even new contract in Frölunda.

Pontus Widerström forward.

Large, job readiness – and still under development. Should be able to avert his body to even more tackles, even more twilight in front of the goalkeeper. Brilliant in the playoffs though!

Oliver Bohm, back.

Is big and strong, but still far too kind. Have a good shot, but pushes too seldom. Here is something to develop.

Anton Axelsson, forward.

Have got season ruined by damaged ligaments in the hand and in the playoffs troublesome groin. Contributes always hard work, but when the pain takes over, it is difficult to perform. Heal up!

Christoffer Persson, back.

Frölunda’s greatest players – but just like Bohm pious as a lamb. Had to sit part on the bench in the playoffs and were matched sparingly. Good in the regular season.

Erik Karlsson forward.

Stayed in the development part, despite a weight gain during the summer. Has contracts with Craolina Hurricanes and tries securely through the AHL, although maybe another year at home was the very best. Tucked in the playoffs.

Jacob Larsson back.

Is a future NHL back – and it gave 17-year-old a contract with the first team during season. Good skating and moving hips, but has a few years of development behind. Poked into the playoffs.

John Nyberg back.

Härryda Hill stepped in as a junior – and ended with the first-team contract. Tucked However, when all the ordinary defenders were back to the playoffs. Should also use body more.

Christian Backman, back.

Went on a real stopper in the skull – and thought himself that he would not get back into game. Have had difficulty with the pace of some matches – and have probably finished.

Magnus Kahnberg, forward.

Just brilliant in the preseason, to a team mate trod of his Achilles tendon to 40 percent. Fought back to be tackled to new and difficult concussion. The season from hell – probably Kahn’s last. Sorry.

PLAYED FOR A SHORT TIME FOR GRADES (OR CHANGED THE CLUB):

Luke Moffatt (Stavanger), Emil Djuse (Modo), Sebastian Stalberg ( Rögle), Andreas Karlsson, Oscar Engsund, James Olsson, Nils Lagerlof, John Dahlstrom, Pierre Engvall.
