Montreal won again – approaching Tampa – Expressen

LOS ANGELES. Tampa Bay missed a second chance to beat out Montreal from the Stanley Cup.

The Canadiens won at home by 2-1 tonight, Swedish time, and now after two straight victories reduced Lightnings lead in the quarter-finals to 3-2 in matches.

– We have gained a good location, but we have to make an almost perfect match on Tuesday to equalize to 3-3 in matches, said match hero PA Parenteau in a television interview with NBC Sports after the final whistle.

Tampa Bay was the only team in the regular season that did not lose three games in a row, so Montreal has a tough task ahead of them.

But you have given themselves a chance to pick up a 0-3 underdog after winning in Tampa last night and now the home of the Bell Centre.

– It feels wonderful that we could not only win tonight but because we did such a good match throughout. We created chances all the time, said Parenteau.

Devante Smith-Pelly gave Montreal the lead with a cannon shot from the left face-off circle in the middle of the first period.

Tampa goalie Ben Bishop had barely perceive the puck flew into and out of the cage.

Steven Stamkos equalized for Tampa Bay at the rebound Anton Strålman shot after 9:27 of the second period.

The decision came just over four minutes left and then held the Canadiens away for Lightnings onslaught in the final minute.

– We were not nervous then they acknowledged, but just continued to play as we had done previously, says the goalie Carey Price, who saved 24 shots.

The team captain PK Subban announced after Montreal’s first reduction earlier this week that the team now aim to make as the Los Angeles Kings did last year.

– I hope we can emulate and turn 0-3 dossier to a 4-3 -seger in this game series.

There are 2-3 in games now.
