– He’s a really good guy. You do not get much impression of someone is that person really understood during the short time you meet another team’s coach, but the times we hejat at each other, he seemed to be a hyvens man. I think that just socially against us players, he can probably be a little Åge Hareide, nice as well.
– He’s very dedicated, he’s up there and talk a lot during the game. And my impression is that he is very knowledgeable. He stands for a soccer playing football if you can say so. Aalborg did pretty damn good when he was there, above all, the year they won the league (2014). Then they were really, really good. They won the Cup that year too, they beat us in the final, and I remember they played a very entertaining and effective football.
It is difficult to know so much about an assistant coach, not many I can name offhand even in Allsvenskan.
- No, exactly. But in today’s football has been the assistant very great influence on the head coach. The latter is of course a greater responsibility but my impression is that many times they can be just as much. So I am confident that Allan’s influence on Aalborg’s game has been great. And as I said, the year they won, they played a fantastic football with plenty of ball on ground. And that’s something that suits us in Malmö. We have many technical and gaming skilled players.
After a spell in Midtjylland as head coach (where the team finished sixth and fourth respectively, and went to the Cup final both years) returned Allan Kuhn via Odense to Aalborg that he had spent five years (2004-2009) in which the assistant coach. At today’s press conference, he explained that he now again ready to take over a team as head coach.
I tell John about when I talked to MFF’s assistant Olof Persson other year, in which he explained that one of the things that distinguishes the role of the head coach is that you usually are closer to the players. I think that if Allan for so many years has been the assistant so he must be a person who is easy to like.
Johan can for obvious reasons not comment on Allan’s popularity, but says that when his team met Aalborg, it was Allan who after the games were out and gave the players.
- Åge was different to many other coaches like that, he was a bit like Allan after the game. So I’m very curious about what he can accomplish in Malmö, it will be very interesting.
He was asked at today’s press conference what the goals are for the year, and he replied that the MFF should always aim to get top 3 in Allsvenskan. What do you think we should have for goals this season?
- Now is the Swedish Cup terrible important for us in that we did not take us into Europe through the Olympics, so we’ll surely of course do everything to take home. Otherwise, the league is the most important thing, I think, and as Allan Apparently this is a top-three placing no wonder that Malmo coach to say. Or who in Malmö whatsoever you ask.
he has time for the Cup? There is not much time he has on him.
- Absolutely not, but it was not as if we were far away in 2015. Much depends on how many new players coming in and many will disappear, but there is not much ruljangs this winter, we have a good frame already, as we can build on rather quickly.
- “Olle” (Persson) has eye on what we did last season and he and Allan will certainly sit down and check out videos and stuff as soon as possible. Go through the game, prepare yourself, Allan then, and then in turn prepare the team when training starts again.

Sex and Fucking offside has now completed its eighth year. Approximately 400 lists have been written over the years, and week in and week out is what has been the hottest, best, weirdest, or most sky-blue (and not to forget, the most boring or tiresome) ended on Football Sweden’s most inalienable list.
