Another witness confirm the information.

– We saw how the people stood in front of a tram which had been stopped. They first tried to kick in the boxes while they shouted something about Gais, we could not hear, says Jonathan Hansson.

– Late thrown firecrackers, powerful firecrackers, into and undercarriage. Then came the police who forced their way into between the groups. Then there was a group of supporters who went down to Kopparmärra and another group that went the other way towards Götaplatsen.

After the events at Valand divided fans into two main groups. Those who made it to the Liseberg Hall was met by the news that the vents were closed.

This led to all those who did not come into the game in small groups broke into the city’s most central parts where they walked around between locations.

Later in the evening could police announce that under the operational chief has been between 50 and 60 perosner involved in altercation at Valand.

The event must have started when a group Gais supporters skiing språvagn past Valand to get to the stadium. “The tram was told by the police to pass the stop without stopping when there was a clear risk of confrontation of supporters of ICL Gothenburg,” the police on his website.

At the stop continued carriage past but then one of the supporters on the cart pulled the emergency brake. This led to a confrontation between the two groups and the police had to step in and split them.
