Tour de Ski: Four Swedes on from sprint prologue – Nilsson trouble – Örnsköldsvik Allehanda

Ulricehamns Hanna Falk was the fastest of the Swedes in the prologue and was fourth fastest, 3.40 for the Norwegian Invild Flugstad Östberg. But it was in the bottom of the list of those who made it to the qualifiers as the great drama unfolded.

Sprint-talented Stina Nilsson fared just on, with just one hundredth of a margin to Evelina Settlin who finished 31st and therefore miss the final. Nilsson was 9:59 for fastest rider Ostberg and Seen Lens time was 9.60. But Settlin was having a moment. Anne Kyllönen disappeared from the charts and thus saw Settlin out to be with, but Finnish is suddenly back in the results list and pushed Settlin to 31st place.

– It felt like a normal prologue of me, but it is hard when you are so close, she says to Sport Express.

– I bet everything on moving on and I can usually manage prologues.

In addition Nilsson and Falk, Charlotte Kalla and Ida Ingemarsdotter to go the finals starting 15:55. The ladies have made their choice and will start in separate heats and thus risk not to knock each other out.

– Every day is important, but this is where it can get away to those who are a little more sprintare says Charlotte Kalla to SVT.

She runs the quarter-final against Astrid Uhreholdt Jacobsen, Sadie Björnsen, Alenka Cebasek Lucia Anger and Nathalie Von Sibenthal.
