Done: Orebro meets Växjö in the quarterfinals – Expressen

Vaxjo meets Orebro in the quarterfinals. It was clear that Örebro lost against Everton on penalties while Vaxjo beat Farjestad 4-1.

Örebro had a chance to climb the SHL table for tonight’s closing core selection round. To climb from sixth place required a Orebro victory while Linköping and HV dropped 71 points.

– We played not so good. Some chains did it well, but not mine. But now we put it behind us, and it will be exciting, says Derek Ryan.

Narke meets Växjö in the quarterfinals. Växjö won their last game against Farjestad 4-1.

– Växjö has the great pressure on themselves. Orebro beat the underdog and it gets really exciting, says C More pundit Niklas Wikegård.

Växjö secured third place in the regular season following a discharge in the third period at home against Farjestad.

The Lakers went from underdog with 1-0 to lead 3-1 in three minutes, and before the period was over score was 4-1 to Växjö. 4-1 was also the end result.

– There are a great team with great skill and good speed, so it will be fun to meet them, says Derek Ryan.
