The Japanese were shocked Damkronorna – Swedish YLE

Today drove the women’s ice hockey world championships started with a real bang when Japan defeated the host nation Sweden 4-3 on penalties. It was the first time in history that women’s team was defeated by Japan. Before today’s game, it was 10-0 in victories to Sweden.

Sweden took the lead with both 1-0 and 2-1 after goals by Erica Grahm, but early in the third period, Japan did two goals on a just over one minute: 3-2 to Japan. Then stepped match, player Erica Grahm up again leveling the score to

3-3 with his third goal of the day.

The extension was speechless, and the game went to penalty shootout, in which Japan decided, by putting two of the three penalties while Damkronorna missed both of his attempts. This gave Japan a historic victory and two surprising points along the main luggage.
