Linköping / STOCKHOLM. HV 71 has gained the upper hand after a dramatic finish to Linköping.
LHC finished the match in game 6 against four – but the HV withstood and won 3-2.
– We must demonstrate character and trip us, says Linköping coach Roger Melin.
Before Tuesday’s meeting had HV 71 and Linköping won whose a home game. But now it was the visitors took home from the start.
Erik Christensen gave the HV line at the end of the first period when he absolutely free with Marcus Högberg flicked the puck.
Linkoping flying start to the second period and received dividends directly by Broc Little.
But the visitors remained the stronger team and quickly took command of the game again. Jere Karalahti set 2-1 before Anton Bengtsson increasing the lead to 3-1 with only a minute left in the second period.
It would however prove highly dramatic in the third period.
Broc Little played until Mattias Sjögren that dot fired into the curtailment.
Linkoping began a furious search of the equalizer and while Marcus Högberg left his bag so went HV 71′s Mattias Karlsson in two minutes.
Linköping played in numerical superiority in the rest of the game and created location to location. But Gustaf Wesslau stood in the way time and time again.
HV resisted and took a heavy toll odd goal victory and leads match series 2-1.
Can transform
the game so experimented Roger Melin some with chains and placed among other Broc Little along with Jeff Taffe and Jacob Micflikier a few changes.
There may be more changes in the next matches.
– We’ll see, I’ll try to find some aces in rockrämen says Melin.
