Hamréns focus: to get the group together – Helsingborgs Dagblad

The goalie Robin Olsen is the greenest of them all with just one A-International. Then follows Malmo FF coils Anton Tinnerholm with two and Erik Johansson by three. In total there are eleven players who have 13 caps or fewer.

Therefore, the collection before the European Championship qualifiers away against Moldova in Chisinau on March 27 to consist of a lot of theory.

– For us it’s about getting together how we will play against Moldova as soon as possible. Players are working maybe a little different in their club team, and we need to get them to understand how we work here, he said.

– We try to do as much as possible during training but we work a lot with the theory that with pictures trying to understand what to do in certain situations. We do also to see how Moldova do, what we have to look out for and what we can exploit.

The football team’s most experienced player may also be a part of the theoretical work quickly to “educate” the troop past supplements.

It counts Hamrén including with getting helping hands from Andreas Isaksson, 118 A-internationals, Kim Kallstrom, 116, and team captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 101. Johan Elmander, 84, is also one that counts to the crowd – even though he has not played much with Brøndby and turned down the last European Championship qualifying match away against Montenegro.

– Last fall he felt he was not as strong physically, so strong mentally to be with the national

team. But now he says he is, and I think he brings to the group so much that I want with him, said Hamrén.

Erik Hamréns new group building is partly about players with experience, but in certain positions, the coach decided to look more into daily condition than how some players have previously performed in the national team.

That is why Alexander Kačaniklić, FC Copenhagen, and Nabil Bahoui, AIK, left out of the squad to make way for Robin Quaison, Palermo, and Alexander Farnerud, Torino.

– Alexander has played more or less regular for a long time and seems interesting. Think it would be exciting to see him in the squad. As for Robin, he has started three of the last five games and has qualities that I find exciting, says Hamrén.

– There is a small question mark for Alexander Farnerud. He went out injured in the Europa League match (against Zenit St. Petersburg) and the initial forecast is that it is a tendon in the knee that is damaged. How serious do we know until this weekend but it may be that he was forced to cancel.
