Sef-base worried by IFK’s figures – Göteborgs-Posten

IFK Gothenburg is 10, 4 million back in 2014. This is the fourth straight year with negative numbers and equity decreases steadily.

– A single dip is ok. When it occurs several years in a row, it is worrying, says Lars-Christer Olsson, Chairman of Zeph.

Olsson was the Secretary General of the UEFA between 2003 and 2007. Today basses he Swedish Elite Football – Association whose goal is to strengthen the headlines. He notes the lack of stability in the economy of many compounds.

– There is a dance on the rope for many and they are very dependent on individual events, Olsson says.

IFK Göteborg slopes Thus 10.4 million. Equity is thus down 13.5 million, compared with 35 million five years ago. “Will it down to ten million, you start to get worried,” said then-treasurer Kaj Thoren in February 2013.

Lars-Christer Olsson notes that Blåvitt after all, still has a positive capital – but would have preferred to sales took off. Sef aims to the premier league clubs double its sales between 2013 and 2018. IFK Gothenburg’s turnover has risen from 90 million to 96 million since 2011. Counting with player sales have increased from 101 million to 121 million.

– A big club must definitely up to 150 to 200 million in sales. It is a prerequisite for being able to keep players longer and achieve sporting success in the long term, says Olsson.

IFK Gothenburg club director Martin Kurzwelly states that high staff and administrative costs is behind the weak results. And that the club has chosen to recoup the sales of Ludwig Augustinsson and Joel Allansson first year.

– We have deliberately taken upon us additional costs in 2014 to get lower payments in 2015. It has been a year of change, which means a lot of additional costs in leadership positions, says Kurzwelly and points to the change of sports manager, trainer and sales manager costly measures.

The announcement comes days after Malmo FF reported a profit of SEK 144 million. Lars-Christer Olsson sees a risk that the hunting clubs – with expectations of themselves to challenge for the gold – in danger of crashing economically on the road.

– Yes, the risk is located. We have to work wise with our talents, it’s part of the business strategy. The clubs in the major conurbations have to be up in sales and stabilize. Looking purely uptake rate has Blåvitt an opportunity to become a leading club in Scandinavia, but then you have to manage their resources, he said.

And the most important factor for growth, according to Olsson audience. IFK Gothenburg average landed in 2014 at 10,739 spectators. There are 5,000 fewer at every home game than gold the year 2007. The total premier league average has fallen by 3,000 spectators during the same period.

– But I still see positive signs now, season ticket sales go up. Her death in Helsingborg destroyed much of last year. Can we get rid of it now so it looks promising, says Olsson.
