Brynäs secured SHL contract – Swedish Radio

Brynäs have had a hard Smaland team throughout the season. Four out of five matches lost: the very first in the penalty shootout, the three following at full time before Gavle team now broke the pattern and thanks to two unexpected scorers struggled down Vaxjo ghost when it was most needed.

But the goal – and hedged SHL contract – sat hard inside.

For Saturday’s game looked very much like the previous meetings with Växjö in the driver’s seat most of the match and a striving Brynäs which until acknowledgment 7:07 into the second was for gently and passively although Gavle team had a pair of sharp chances too.

Brynäs coach Thomas A ??? Bulanâ ??? Berglund was not satisfied and took an early timeout at the beginning of my period in which the team agreed to grab the puck, dare to play and not allow guests to control the game.

Ten seconds after the timeout chirped Oscar Eklund with his fourth goal of the season – a puck that found the back of Stefan Steen and post.

That was three months ago Brynäs Hill scored later, to Leksand home.

Now got the goal up the confidence of Brynäs who also had a puck by Anton Rodin in the post a little while after the acknowledgment.

The third was the chase, ripping and tearing that applied when Brynäs lack the individual skills of Växjö.

But will hit – evenings like this – class.

Now handed a brilliant pass (of Pathrik Westerholm) and a shot right up in the far corner of say the least, unexpected game hero (twin brother Ponthus Westerholm) to win even against a gameplay superior opponent.

The 2-1 goal was

Ponthus third of the season and the roar straight out when the puck whizzed up into the top corner said it all.

The ghost was defeated, the contract secured. Now waiting for the fun – Playoffs
