So disconcerted Cold – pipped at the post – Old Newspapers

A trio of riders pulled away in the first leg. It’s about the Norwegians Astrid Jacobsen, Therese Johaug and the Swedish ski Queen Charlotte Kalla. Call looked incredibly strong on the classic route and had good glide in the downhill area on the classical part.

When the freestyle skiing began so went Charlotte Kalla in tättrion, with just Johaug and Jacobsen.

– It looks fantastic good for the Swedish part, says Mathias Fredriksson.

– I have never seen her go this good, she goes big and with pressure. It’s amazing impressive, said SVT expert Anders Blomqvist.

On the freestyle portion trio continued to pull away. Closest chased Sofia Bleckur, Kerttu Niskanen and a avhängd Marit Björgen. On the last lap tested Johaug pressing to killer hill, and she succeeded. Johaug got eleven seconds ahead of ascents. Call ended up a bit after, but still managed to find new strength. She went up and past Astrid Jacobsen and downloaded into second after second on Therese Johaug.

– It is tokjaktläge at Charlotte, says Anders Blomqvist.

– When Therese was a jerk where the hill so it was super dumb legs, says Charlotte Kalla after the race.

It was not all the way to the gold, but Charlotte was beaten at the finish line after a sprint duel with Astrid Jacobsen.

Despite that it became a bronze medal for Charlotte Kalla, the first individual medal at a World Cup, so she gets some criticism of SVT’s expert Anders Blomqvist.

– I think she pulls a little too much for it to be a perfect tactical race for her, says SVT expert Anders Blomqvist.

It was however completely under the plan of Cold.

– I had fantastic skis, levees have made a gallant job . I focused on going good skiing all the time. It went

well, and I had a plan that I would raise the tempo a bit on the second lap.

– Thanks to the audience so I got new strength, and thanks to the patience so I could go up Jacobsen again. I tried all the time to focus on the middle and are incredibly pleased with this individual medal, says Charlotte Kalla.
