Swedish World Cup sprinters chasing replay – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

There is a lot to indicate that the battle for the gold in the women’s sprintstafett will stand between Sweden and Norway. Ingemarsdotter and Nilsson would in that case be happy to see a replay of the resolution in Otepää in January, when it became blue and yellow victory and Norwegian in second place.

Caspersen Falla may re joined by Flugstad Østberg then Marit Bjørgen defected after the failure of the country pursuit.

– Plan A was to go any distance, but the race was today, I think we have two girls that can do a fantastic job, said Bjørgen on Saturday night after acting placed sixth been at the awards ceremony inside the Falun.

– If I were to prioritize anything away, it was the team sprint. Sunday will be a day off with a little jog. On Monday there will be on skis again.

Unlike Bjørgen continues Petter Northug to go any distance. In the sprint relay, he joined by Finn-Hagen Krogh, who makes his first race in this World Cup even though he won both the sprint and 15 kilometers in the dress rehearsal in Östersund last weekend.

– It pleases me very to come started. Dream scenario is to add up to a perfect smash for Petter, where I send him out on the last leg with a gap to the other so he can play any tricks before he crosses the finish line.

As expected, there will be Calle Halfvarsson and Teodor Peterson was chosen in pursuit of Sweden’s first men’s medal in the World Championships.
