Peder Fredricson on All In won with great rejoicing Gothenburg Trophy – his second Grand Prix victory in two weeks.
– Incredibly fun, I’m very happy and very proud of my horse that jumps amazing, he says.
How did you introduce the jump-off?
– I do not know if I had time to think so much – I was trying to keep your heart rate low and the pace high.
The 11 000 people in the audience got the Scandinavium to boil when it was to be clear that the popular Swede won the prestigious and richest race after a strong and rapid response in the jump-off.
– The feeling after the last obstacle can hardly describe, the response of the audience is enormous, says Peder Fredricson.
In the jump-off defeated Peder Fredricson Swiss Pius Schwizer with a button second. Third was the Dane Andreas Schou who rode very well. He led after the first round robin but was not quite enough in the jump-off.
The 43-year-old Fredricson is in fine form – in November he took home Sweden International Horse Show in Solna and two weeks ago won the Grand Pix in Borås.
– It’s fine now, not least, I have very good horses, has probably never been so good, he says.
Another strong Swedish intervention was delivered by Linda Heed who was the other Swedish show jumper that made it to the jump-off in which she unfortunately had eight faults.
