Falun. Revanschlustan is great, but it’s also the friendship.
Marcus Hellner is planning to waive femmilen and let Anders Sodergren go.
– Anders is a good friend and a strong skier, said Hellner.
Marcus Hellner’s World Cup has been approved, but no more. He was tenth in the country pursuit, four of 15 kilometers of charge and drove in runs the third leg of the relay team that won silver.
The remaining part of the men’s Sunday femmil. Hellner, one of the five Swedish places if he wants, in which case he runs together with Johan Olsson, Calle Halfvarsson, Daniel Richardson and Lars Nelson.
But the 29-year-old Hellner have another option. His close friend Anders Sodergren, 37, has been selected for the World Cup as a spare and would like to finish his career with a femmil at home.
This indicates that he is removed
Södergren won World Championship silver on the abutment twelve years ago. He has not done any races during the World Cup, but chances are if Hellner refrain from standing.
– We have not decided yet. Anders is a good friend and a strong skiers too. I think he would do well there. We’ll see what it gets for its part, says Hellner.
The national coach Richard Griffin will reveal its final femmil kind during a press conference on Saturday morning. He does not want to give any notice in advance, but the fact that Södergren present at the press conference suggests that he is removed.
“Do not give it away to be nice”
Daniel Richardson do not think Hellner would get off only by kindness.
– I think that Marcus himself knows what he’s capable of doing. He feels he has a good chance of a femmil he will go. I do not think he’s going to give it away just to be kind to Anders, even if Anders is very well worth the
Richardson is confident that the veteran Södergren would finish his career at a neat way if he got the chance.
– Anders is an extremely talented femmil skater and was the best of all of us at femmilen at the Olympics. He gets going he will be high up, then how far it is enough we’ll see.
