Known pickup impresses – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

Therese Johaug could afford to take a Norwegian flag from the audience in one hand before she went into the peacefulness ski stadium.

So superior was the Norwegian who stack early, extended lead and was never threatened.

Thus she took her third gold medal in this World Cup, following victories in the country pursuit and relay. World Cup Queen was joined on the podium by Marit Bjørgen and Charlotte Kalla.

Cold came to the Falun to try to take her first individual World Championship medal. And go home with three. Plus the silver in the relay.

First bronze in the country pursuit, after Johaug and Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen. Since the gold on favorite distance is 10 kilometers freely, followed by super stretch in the relay where it ended with silver for Sweden.

Cold saw knocked out in the middle of tremilen when she almost stood still in the heavy uphill. Then appeared a medal far away. Prior to that, she had fallen twice, first up the killer hill and then just before turning.

But somehow she managed to find new forces and fought his way to the bronze medal. Her first medal at tremilen in a championship and the second, after 10 km in the Olympics last year, in the classical style.

Behind Cold replied Sofia Bleckur again for a super race. Once again she finished fifth, just as in skiathlonen a week ago.

Cold made history

Prior to the closing femmilen Sweden has won a medal every racing cross-country trails and has eight medals in total.
