Nervous anticipation of World Championship silver – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

– It was nervous and quite emotional. It was very good that it ended happily, said Nilsson.

The reward was even a silver medal at tonight’s awards ceremony.

In the battle for medals ended up Stina Nilsson in a situation in the curve towards the stadium which could have cost her and Ida Ingemarsdotter medal. Nilsson came at such a high speed that she was crashing into the German Denise Herrmann. She was forced off the track to avoid a collision.

– I had nowhere to go. The jury agreed that I did not earn anything on it.

After a few nervy minutes contented themselves with giving svenskan a warning.

The silver was secured.

– I’m glad they judged as they did, said Nilsson.

Nilsson went out that four of the last of the three stages. As in the Sochi Olympics last year, it became a struggle with Denise Herrmann and the time sprinted Stina Nilsson himself a bronze.

It looked to be there now after the Swedish-German closeness.

But Nilsson wanted more.

– I felt very relaxed and then I saw that I had a chance on silver too, and then I wanted revenge on Polish because she hit me in the semifinals.

Nilsson won the brawl against Sylwia Jaśkowiec too. With 31 hundredths margin, she went to him his second silver medal in the World Championships in two attempts. Norway won wide and unchallenged, with just over eight seconds.

– It is tremendously good. I really am happy with, said the 21-year-old Malung girl who competes for IFK Mora on his silver harvest.

– And shared joy is double joy. Great fun.

Ida Ingemarsdotter stands for a different, hard to beat feat. 29-year-old from Moscow Vnukovo and ridges have won medals in sprintstafett in four championships in a row.

The reason?

– It’s a pretty special event. It’s all about munching lactic acid, that’s six races to be run, it will be seven or eight kilometers.

– When you get audience support and it’s championships I grow with the task. As of today the last round, I’ve been in situations like this a few times, I grow there too, and the others know that I do not give.

Ingemarsdotter had to work to give his team mate weathering on the medal – and

she will rip to get the chance to extend his medal suite.

– I say this: An individual gold, that I have before I stop.

– It is positive that it comes up new young riders. One can not lie idle just because you have routine

Ingemarsdotter has long been the anchor in the traditional championship relays as well. She can actually get competition this time of his silver buddy.

– If Anna Haag is back, we are well-eight people vying for four seats. All shows very good shape, said Ida Ingemarsdotter.

– It would be great fun to ride, but now I just enjoy it here, said Nilsson.

– I do not even know what Today it goes. Thursday? Then it is quite far away, oh what a relief. Tomorrow will be the sleep and rest.
