Djokovic ready for new final – Aftonbladet

Novak Djokovic has won four of the last five Australian Open.

Now, he is again ready for the final of the Grand Slam tournament.

World number one knocked out third seed Roger Federer 6-1, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 – then he offered a new show.

Novak Djokovic has now officially passed Roger Federer in the peer statistics.

Before the semifinals of the Australian Open was the score 22 as the number of victories.

After having fully played out third seed Federer in the first two sets and won 6-1 and 6-2 came the Swiss back in the third.

Federer broke Djokovic in the 3-2 lead and then won the third set.

But in the fourth set, Djokovic broke and could end up winning by 3-1 in sets.

– I played incredibly well in the first set and it must do against Federer played very well in this tournament, says Djokovic in the victory interview.

Thus, the Serb ready for their fifth final in the last six years at the Australian Open. After the first Grand Slam victory of 2008, Djokovic also won the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015.

– I have good memories from here and often played my best tennis here, he says.

The victory interview, Djokovic was confronted by the interviewer Jim Courier why he backed off during the interview.

When Djokovic took the hold of the microphone and showed how the Courier behaved

during the interviews and stood face-to-face with Courier – to the audience’s appreciation.

– This is how you make. I have had enough of tough duels in the evening … said Djokovic jokingly.
