Wroclaw / STOCKHOLM. Sweden opened strong and had a four goal lead halfway through the match against Germany.
But in the second half patted the Swedes together – and Germany eventually won by 27-26 after a really dramatic ending.
– What we’ve been working up the entire first half, we lose much in five minutes. It goes a little too quickly, says team captain Tobias Karlsson of TV3′s broadcasting.
Sweden had the upper hand in the first half against Germany and led by 17-13 pause. But in other Germany managed to come back into the game – and showered goal.
With scant quarter of an hour remaining roles were reversed. At that time namely Germany instead had one four goal lead, and Sweden were in the dock.
The Swedes fought feverishly to catch up, but failed to break through the German defense. Moreover, large playing German goalkeeper Andreas Wolff, and did not let many balls behind them.
At the end of the game, however, Sweden approach and Fredrik Petersen represented a real gem when he lobbied in a penalty to 27-26.

Karlsson: “We demonstrate good moral character”
The team captain had difficulty explaining exactly what was behind the collapse.

Luke Nilsson was the more disheartened.

Nilsson: “Sometimes you have to take a chance”
But Nilsson himself sees nothing wrong with that.
– I usually take that kind of shot in the club so why not here ?, he said.

At the same time permitting Wolff that he was nervous during the game.
