SHL-profile return home – ready for Malmo – Aftonbladet

In today presented SHL eleven Mathias Tjärnqvist , 36, who return home from JYP Jyväskylä and has signed on for the rest of the season.

– We take back “Star” because we feel the need to broaden the squad. We are entering a tough part of the season and we know what we get from him. He was in a similar situation last year and it is an extremely good guy, both on and off the ice, says Malmö Redhawks sporting director Patrik Sylvegård to the club’s website.



Have been damaged

Due to injury problems have Tjärnqvist only made eleven games in JYP this season. Now, however, he is completely recovered and returned to the club he helped up to SHL last year.

Tjärnqvist is ready for play and debuting already in tonight’s game against Linkoping.

– It is great good to come here and play here again. I have many great memories from here since last year and I look forward

to stepping on the ice with the guys again, he says.
