After the tears: Designated Gais leader speaks out – Göteborgs-Posten

Gais choose not to shut down the two leaders identified as accomplices in a 15-year-old judge weeping left a ungdomscup.

– it has been a terrible day for us, says one of the leaders.

He denies that the male against 15-year-old should have come from Gais bench, but admits that contributed to a heated atmosphere.

It was the awards officer and one of the leaders of the organizing association pointed out that the leaders of both Gais and the opponent Lind Dals IF. They were reportedly harassed the young, female judge, who himself said this to GP:

– It was tough. They shouted that I was bad and tough and that they wanted me to continue judging. So when I wanted to go home.

Leader in Lindsdal has admitted afterwards that things shouted to the judge. The coaches Gais says he does not have.

– We were engaged and inside the game, and it’s possible that I gave a sarcastic response to the leader of the organizing committee when she asked us to calm us down. But I had no idea that it has been called things for this judge, and it was neither I or my coaching colleague who did. We would never do that to a 15-year-old girl, says one of the trainers as GP met.

He is in his 40s and has a background as a sports teacher. In recent days, he and his much younger coaching colleague, endured fierce, sometimes hateful, criticism by GP’s articles.

– My colleague told me that it was the worst days of his life. He is young and Giants fan since the age of five and he does everything for this team. We are a bunch of delicious and we have among other things, decided not to get involved with topping. It gives us banging sometimes, but where we have put our values, says the coach.

He remembers that the atmosphere became somewhat heated in connection with a pair contested verdict, a penalty and a disallowed goal. But he says he is confident that none of Gais bench yelled something about the female judge, but only discussed with the other, male judge.

Yet he feels some responsibility for what happened.

– It’s not the World Cup or something, but you work hard and you run in Skatås and stuff. And last we met them so it was 3-3, so we knew it was a good bunch. It was a little turbulent, and I could have shouted things like “offside” or “free kick”. And maybe it’s silly, because it contributes to the race baiting. But if I had said

something to the girl I had apologized for it, for it is not our style. I really feel for her.

After long talks with club leaders came to the conclusion that practicing the duo would continue its mission. Gais writes in a press release that it wants to turn the negative situation into something positive and that they want to further educate its leaders – with the designated leaders’ help.

– Now we make a good deal out of this. I’m really proud to Gais standing up when the wind blows, and we must be involved and contribute to a healthier and better climate. I think many have been an eye-opener, because this happens in all compounds. If we can be an example of what can happen when you are too hot, it can lead to something wonderfully well in the long term, says coach.

– If they had given me fired so I do not know what I had taken me to.

Öis, who received criticism in connection with another match in the tournament, has decided to close a leader who is considered to have behaved aggressively in 2016.
