Stay in Frölundaborg – no option for Frolunda – Göteborgs-Posten

The players celebrated the mood of Frölundaborg but yearns for Scandinavium. From Frölunda’s side, there was never any intention of staying.

– Absolutely not, Scandinavium is our fortress, says Chairman Mats Grauers.

the atmosphere in Frölundaborg during the fifth quarter-final between Frölunda and Djurgården was electric. When Frolunda secured advancement by 4-1 in matches, the roof was about to take off. After the match the players celebrated the atmosphere.

– I’ve been thinking about it, we do not have many losses here in important games. We usually play well and the crowd carries us forward, we will bring that feeling now. It’s good to get a quarterfinal series or a semi here. But Scandinavium is our refuge and 12,044 slams pretty good too. There tend to be magical atmosphere there and I look forward to it, said Joel Lundqvist.

– I like both places, they both give us an advantage, it feels like. I know that they used to play here before and it’s a good feeling to be gained by it, said Ryan Lasch.

Frolunda is one of the few clubs in SHL who are not budgeting with a playoff. The club’s goal is that because the series to break even.

– That’s right, then it can always happen that changes it. All clubs in the SHL’ve lost some money now (advertising in my circle has disappeared) and it is clear that there is a large drop, it affects us, I would say, but no worries, says Frölunda chairman Mats Grauers.

What about the mood of Frölundaborg?

– It has been very good! 6000 in Scandinavium had not been able to create the same pressure but 12,044 in Scandinavium do it. We complain about the part at the Scandinavium Arena and playing in Frölundaborg is a step back. It is crowded for the audience, we can not offer the same service to the audience and then meet stadium requirements are not SHL. Among other things, there

should be 3500 seats, in Frölundaborg there are 2 400th

Was there any thought of playing left in Frölundaborg?

– No. , there was no thought of it. Scandinavium is our refuge. We want to offer as many people as possible to see our games, then it’s better financially to play in Scandinavium. Frölundaborg works in the individual matches, but is not an arena to play in over time. Now we yearn back to the Scandinavium arena where the crowd is fantastic. This is where we want to play.
