Leksand ready for direct qualifiers – Västerbotten Courier

Sports Telegram Leksand also passed the penultimate hurdle on the road to SHL. On Tuesday defeated the venerable dala team Tingsryd 4-2 and now stands just Modo between Leksand and a place in ice hockey parlor.

Leksand got a dream start before the home crowd. Johan Pors Berger gave the home team a 1-0 after 2:46, and 39 seconds later, Johan Olofsson 2-0.

Goals early periods were Leksands hallmark this evening. In the middle period, skated to Jon Knuts free on the edge, pressed himself in front of the goal, holding the puck and put it in the goal behind Tingsryds Johannes Jonsson, a goal which meant 3-1.

Tingsryd reduced, but in Leksand Martin Karlsson shot 4-2 just over three minutes into the third period, dried Tingsryd not rise again.

Per-Erik Johnsson, who took over the coaching job in Leksand in November when the team kept to the lower parts the Allsvenskan table, are now against Modo, the team he saved remain in SHL last spring.

Match series is decided in a best of seven games – the winner plays in the SHL in the fall – and the

first meeting is decided in Ornskoldsvik on Sunday.

– We have nothing to lose, but it has Modo. Damn the nice feeling, said Leksands captain Jonas Frögren in the locker room after the game.

In the second match of the series will meet Karlskrona and AIK.
